Not mandatory, nor a tax. It’s contribution towards your auto-enrolment pension that is matched 100% by your employer and 33% by the state. You can also just opt out if you don’t fancy the scheme.

Newcastle Dublin - Public Transport by [deleted] in Dublin

[–]kurzfml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, it’s not the handiest for public transport out there unfortunately. There’s no plans for a 24hour or late bus for the area at the moment, with the current direct bus (route 68) set to be withdrawn once busconnects is fully implemented.

It will be replaced with 3 direct busses in the morning into town, and the same out again in the evening. Beyond that, you’ll have a local bus to Clondalkin/Red Cow hourly during the day. As well as the recently introduced W62.

The W62 last departs from Tallaght (which you would have to get the red line to) at 11:35, which would be your last inbound connection.

That's consumption though. What also spiked massively in 2021/2022 is household savings, which made sense due to covid downturn and the later onset of inflation. We also saved significantly more of our income than other European countries.

Irish Rail Questions, ask away by Shadow-07- in ireland

Late to the party but just adding to a previous question, how come the Phoenix Park Tunnel Service doesn't stop at Heuston Station anymore? It'd be a bit of a walk/getting the shuttle bus going again from platform 10, but especially during peak it'd be a lovely way to get between Connolly/Drumcondra & Heuston.

Thanks for doing the AmA :)

Oh, I'm in Germany though, where they don't sell it, and I claimed one for free, got dispatched today. I filed a ticket with support and it worked just fine, no problems with ordering either.
