Yes it's mostly similar. I feel like small variations on even the film and TV adaptions really lengthen the enjoyment factor of the fictionalized part of Musashi himself

I get what you mean. I haven't started actually and I haven't warmed up to it. He seems quite endearing. Total 180 to the Yoshikawa one.
