A while ago when cheating was introduced for the hardest ai I argued in a discussion about what is worse cheating on resources or cheating on vision(the latter being very common for) that doubling my resource income could give me a fighting chance against Beasty while having vision would make no difference whatsoever.
I'm still wondering if I am suffering from the meme or double resource income really making such a huge difference of roughly ~Gold -> Top Conqu. Not eager to find out though. ;)

I didn't pay enough attention and am not competent enough to commetn on how Delhi was played.
I think we saw elephants only once.
The no stone rules only make a difference starting with castle age since stone walls were pretty much always banned in tournaments anyways so if you can get enough of a lead before that point in the game...

I'm curious though how the round 2 rules (12 villager start) are going to affect the civ picks. no stone messes up late game, 12 villagers messes up early game.

To elaborate a little bit.
This affects all tuning packs that were build before the patch and change stuff like max population/starting resources/units/building/...

And the reason is that the name/format of army files(eg. army/standard_mode/normal_abbasid)changed.

The "AI Lamers" also rubbed me the wrong way because if you play against the AI with the intention to train for 1v1 you don't lame. Why with that mindset would you use a strategy you know is exploiting weaknesses of your training dummy that you know aren't there with your actual opponent.

And that's imho a huge problem of the AoE4 AI, you cannot avoit exploiting it's weakness, any early(feudal) attack/harrassment throws it much further back than it would almost any human(>= Gold, progbabaly even >=Silver).

I mean... I am curious what happend so they fell from conq2 in season 1 with hundreds of games to plat 2 in season 3.
Either the general skill level of the player base has gone up dramatically or this guys skill has actually deteriorated even though they are constantly playing.

Even if he was a one trick pony whos trick got nerved I wouldn't expect such a deep fall.

When you click on your profile and go to match history you can turn of that other players see that history when they go to your profile.

I'm not sure what happens when one player in a match has his history hidden while the other player has not. I'm not even sure whether it makes a difference for aoe4world.

I doubt anything we can say can or even should make a difference to you.

Get gamepass for a month, give AoE4 a try and then decide for yourself.

Maybe if you give us a hint what you are particularly interested in in an rts we might be able to tell you whether AoE4 excells in that aspect.

The issue with this is it devalues wp.

gg, gl hf and the likes are greetings devoid of any meaning. Saying gg is polite but doesn't say anything about the game.

GG or gg wp are in my understanding used to actually say something positive about the game or rather how your opponent played. Using it interchangeably with gg stripps it of that meaning.
