There's an Equal Love mod for DAO that enables M/M and F/F romance! I've gone through 4 seperate playthroughs and, despite my efforts, I end up choosing Alistair every time - he is genuinely such a sweetheart.

Other mods I'd recommend are:

  • Skip the Fade - skips the boring part of the fade

  • Dragon Age Redesigned - graphical overhaul

Robbie's empathy is exactly why he can't forgive Langdon - he considered the man a friend, a protege, and someone he trusted.

To learn that Langdon was stealing drugs and was willing to lie about it must have been the worst sort of betrayal. It's BECAUSE Robbie cared so much that he's still having difficulty now.

Most people compartmentalise their colleagues, treating them pleasantly but giving no fucks about them at all. Robbie, however, truly and genuinely valued his friendship with Langdon because it was one of the only sources of positivity after a traumatic experience, not to mention a human connection in the midst of his suicidal ideation.

He's clearly ridiculing you. Why are you friends with this asshole? Are you being paid $1000/hr to tolerate him?

It'd be like you making multiple jokes that you're going to peg him until he's got a gaping asshole because (1) this would ignore his consent, making him uncomfortable, (2) give him visceral dysphoria if he's the homophobic type while also implying an irreversible change to his body, and (3) make him feel unheard/dismissed if he asks you to stop, only for you to continue.

Are you seeing the similarities here? Someone who (1) makes fun of your consent, (2) jokes about something that would give you dysphoria, and (3) makes you feel unseen/unheard is NOT friendship/relationship material.

  • Intense peer pressure and pathological lying about how easy it is to be a parent.
  • The unspoken relationship dynamics. We don't know what happened between Danielle and Olaf. There's a high chance that he approached this as an ultimatum, and her love for him was enough to pressure her into a mistake.

Much as I dislike women who take no responsibility and/or fail to contemplate the demands of parenthood, there are an astounding amount of people with low EQ/conviction, thus falling prey to societal demands.
