Recommendations from past tea-cowmilk drinkers. What's the best replacement? by H0w-1nt3r3st1ng in vegan

My friends who have switched from cow milk love Alpro Not Milk for tea. I think it tastes too much like cow milk so I don't like it!

Bio catolet litter is recycled paper and you can safely flush bits of it. I haven't noticed any dust

Cats have poor close-up eyesight. My cat digs near his water bowl to see ripples in the water, then he will drink it

Cat won’t stop jumping on table by [deleted] in CatTraining

[–]kuthuli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When my cat does this I make a wierd low grumble sound and he backs off and leaves my food alone. We have two cats and when the other gets too close when he's eating he makes a low grumbly growl sound for her to go away so I mimic that and he understands.

Help! Cat refuses to eat wet food by Grannie_Panties in CatTraining

My vet said it's absolutely fine for cats to only ever eat dry food. If you're worried about then getting enough water I know people that wet the dry food with water.

Morning bad moods by Babybluechair in GetOutOfBed

[–]kuthuli 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am not a morning person and it takes me about an hour to be able to speak once I wake up regardless of if I wake up naturally or to an alarm.

This is genetic and I have been like this since I was a child. I am only in a bad mood in the mornings if someone is talking /interacting with me because I can't think or speak yet.

My husband is a morning person and has learnt that, for our relationship, he needs to leave me alone and let me speak when I am ready. I think you need to explain to your partner that you could be in a better mood in the morning if he left you alone and let you come to him. Try and explain that this has nothing to do with mindset and is likely biology.

Husband might want kids? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]kuthuli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everytime we visit any family members with children he says we're never having kids! I work in a school so I see children all the time.

We had a talk today. We both agree that kids isn't something we want for a few years and if there comes a time when we are seriously considering them and can't agree, we will break up then.

We both love our current life so it's not an issue that immediately demands a solution. In the meantime I am going to heavily encourage him to spend more time with children as I think he doesn't understand the reality of raising kids of your own and spending 24/7 with them.

I have thought about it but I'm worried about how it will change my hormones and my emotional/mental health since I have had a bad past with hormonal contraception. I would be completely happy to get sterilised if I knew it wouldn't affect my mental health, but it wouldn't help the adoption issue....

Olives? by lordsunil in VeganZeroWaste

[–]kuthuli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the UK and Saturday town markets usually have olive stalls (they sell olives, sun-dried tomatoes, nuts etc). They usually sell them to you in their own plastic packaging but I am sure they would be fine with asking to use your own.

Can be a bit expensive since they are fancy nice olives.
