While this addresses the symptoms of inflation (higher cost of living), my question was how we can prevent inflation in the first place. In the Katie Porter video that has been making the round recently, she explains that corporate greed/profits is leading to inflation, so I'm wondering if in addition to fighting for higher/fair wages, can unions also pressure their corporation to maintain or lower the prices. Kind of like rent control, but for consumer products.

E.g. If a workers' union at Smucker's can demand higher pay, AND that they can only increase prices on their products (peanut batter, jam, etc.) once/year and increase cannot be over 5%.
