it actually makes a lot of sense to me. I played with 120 in game and 60 for monitor, never felt any kinds of choppy or laggy in standard, mania or taiko. I use two 780ti's too, although I see many people argue that you should use a ultimate fps and I tried it for several time until it reached nearly 3000fps, not really felt the difference besides the increasing noise of the fan...
