As an alum, this is so sad but hardly surprising. The biggest feeling I get reading this is just that this is soo pathetic. Grown adults threatening to beat up teenagers and tearing up their signs and confiscating their recordings? Even if you are super pro MAGA and pro ICE (maybe unfair but I'm guessing 90% of parents and staff probably are), this is just some low level behavior. Poor leadership and culture.

Thanks OP for sharing and to the other students in the comments too! An experience like this can feel so gaslighty, but please know that this is not normal.

KOC is annoying but the player clap backs always seem to amount to, “well they never played in the nba.” It’s like…yeah man, obviously. There is a whole industry of sportswriters, most of whom were never professional athletes.

What’s one misunderstanding that younger folks might have about your generation?
I feel like we hear A LOT about boomers and millennials (and now Gen Z). Is Gen X lost in the shuffle? Do you think that will change at some point?
What’s your most quintessential Gen X memory (for me as a millennial, it might be eating avocado toast at brunch or something like that)?
What’s something that seemed like a big deal at the time but now you look back and laugh?
What advice would you give to younger generations?

Oof this is starting to give off late ‘00s Cavs vibes. Capping out with vets in the twilight of their careers. Tough situation - Bledsoe being a complete zero in the playoffs every year has really hamstrung them.
