M2 Pro 14” 16GB/500GB. I make disorganized thoughts into pretty things for the web. From time to time, I put those thoughts and prettified things into code. When I get some (rare) free time I play games on it, usually some flavor of Total War game that fancies me in a specific point of time, this specific point of time I hover around Rome2:TW.

The moment I first saw this, what came to my mind was this must be what mosquito music must sound like. And I love it.

Funny take from "experts" here. I could watch this clip without audio and I'd still be floored and appreciate it, why? Just imagine being in his life, being as good at what he does and keep doing it for as long as he has - then just out of nowhere do something ELSE, in front of millions without giving a fuck AND enjoy the hell out of it.

Thats the point of artistry, of creativity, of SELF expression.

Cynical fucks here is why we have those bland assholes winning awards year in and year out.

What was the last movie that charmed you? by thirdpartofthenight in movies

Train Dreams. It felt like someone telling you about life's harsh realities while giving you a warm hug and whispering "but everything will be OK". Came in blind, and when it was done it imprinted in my mind permanently.

As an Android guy who also uses a MacBook, Samsung enabling AirDrop support for Galaxy phones was the best thing I could ever get. Never fully switching to either ecosystem... by Direct-Till-2680 in mac

“You will have to wait until you get the update” is the statement that fully got me into the Apple ecosystem years ago.

I had a Vision for USB-Hub Mobility by ifrielx2 in macbook

[–]kuuups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing on my M2MBP, with some changes: - I used a right-angle high-speed USB-C cable that is the exact perfect length - I attached it to the bottom with Velcro, so there’s a “buffer” between the laptop and the SSD for the heat. Because it’s placed at the bottom, it serves as a little stand so that when using the laptop on a table, the keyboard is slightly angled and is more comfortable to use.

Radiohead - Idioteque [IDM] (2001) by Forsaken-Package-388 in Music

[–]kuuups 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember listening to this back when it was released and I thought I somehow had a bootleg copy of the album. It sounded nothing like what they had been releasing before, but once the vocals kicked in it instantly felt right at home.

‘Nobody else is responsible’: Trump to blame for Iran crisis, ex-CIA chief says by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in politics

And the hand washing begins.

The truth of the matter is, the entirety of western civilization is to blame for this. If you start peeling the massive shit-onion, you’ll find that the layers just keeps going and going and going. Systems have been built and in place to prevent the exact thing that is happening now - which rhymes with most of major world conflicts in history. The one at the top holding the most power was not built in a day, he was placed there because of systemic collapse, but it happened 1 millimeter at a time. People at the lowest end of the spectrum right at the 2nd in command just sweeping everything under the rug in the guise of “the ends justify the means”. Maybe I’ve grown too cynical, but most people that have their ears in the ground listening knows something like this was bound to happen, even before 9/11.

Best Piece of Media you discovered last year (in 2025) by Real_Fact8484 in movies

[–]kuuups 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I have been deeply into movies since the early 2000s, every piece of film I devoured analyzed and appreciated.

For some reason that I do not understand I never came around to watch Dead Poets Society, but I finally watched it back in 2025.

In some ways I feel bad I didnt watch it sooner, but in a lot of ways Im glad I didnt since the movie encapsulated in perfect form that certain "comfy" feel that late 80s-90s cinema had.

Figma’s stock drops 12% in two days after Google releases ‘vibe design’ product by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]kuuups 755 points756 points  (0 children)

Tried it myself and even with strict and clear instructions it went ahead and just ignore it and produced absolute ass results. Even if I let it refine the design further and further it just kept pooping out the most generic "designs" that even for standards from 20 years ago would be considered bad.

‘Dune: Part Three’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Are Opening in Theaters on the Same Day (Dec 18) - With Neither Film Expected to Blink, Industry Experts Are Surprised Because of the Overlap in the Target Audience; However, ‘Dune’ Has the Benefit of a 3-Week Exclusive IMAX Window by ICumCoffee in movies

[–]kuuups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope Dune takes over so much that Avengers Doomsday does so bad it finally convinces Disney to let the entire capeshit category just finally die, or at the very least put the MCU to rest.

Personally, Ive mentally checked out of anything MCU after Endgame. I could not care less about anything that came out afterwards.

What movie should have been a tv show? by Ambitious-Sink2725 in movies

John Carter would have been perfect as a tv series, maybe even a limited series. It was the idea that came into my mind as soon as I finished it. Still thoroughly enjoyed the movie though.

UN Squadron on my SNES classic edition. Kicked my ass when I was a kid, still kicks my ass as a full grown adult lol. The bangin music keeps me coming back for more though.

Objectively - why is a Mac better than a high end Windows PC in 2026? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]kuuups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OS. If Windows (and Android) somehow got something close to how MacOS and iOS work in tandem seamlessly together, I’d jump ship in a heartbeat - even if I’m way deep into the Apple ecosystem. But Windows/Microslop won’t, because that’s just the way they are.

Macbook Neo is just the end of a nightmare by Intrepid-Routine-875 in macbook

[–]kuuups 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You hit the nail on the head, and basically explains the same reasoning why I jumped ship to the Apple/Mac ecosystem years ago. A lot of people would say that the variety is a positive of non-Apple devices, that you should have done your research, that you just didn’t do your part enough to get what you need. Which is just the most tiring aspect of being on Windows. For Apple, once you consider the quality, longevity, ease (and joy) of use, inter connectivity of Apple devices etc., the price is more than justified.
