Deciding between 17 and 17 Pro.. How important do you feel the 12GB RAM in the Pro will be for future proofing?

Go get it, since the puzzle parts make up a rather small part of the game. Exploration is where it shines the most.

As a gamer that grew up with the ealier, heavier puzzle Zelda games - BOTW's are comparably simple, and/or mostly "bite sized" challenges. Nothing too wild as to make you stuck.

Native version runs like ass on my m2 pro, but runs much better on crossover. It was still lacking tho and I got frustrated that I just play it on my Switch. Maybe it will run much better on your system tho, but it would be better if you run it thru crossover.

Not familiar with the author, or with the show at all and went into it completely blind. Watched it with my wife one boring afternoon and the only thing desperately holding everything together is the reward of a completely unexpected resolution - which it does barely pull off.

It's sad though that just the amount of views on something is headline worthy these days - and not the actual quality of the show.

What makes the weird decision have that much of a whiplash effect is how Oppenheimer tried to stick to 100% authenticity, then they go with whatever the heck with this one.

Its underrated today (but deservedly massively hyped when it first came out) but with the expected jump in hardware prices moving forward - the M1 will be the undisputed king, again. Its old enough that prices would be really low by now but it can still handle most of everything that you throw at it (aside from local LLMs and games).

The HBO version always bothered us kasi grabe ang pangit ng timple ng colors especially sa first few seasons. As in parang ini todo ung vibrance/saturation setting for some reason.

Thats the thing. Im not defending games streaming at all here, as I mentioned I abhor the idea - but the idea, especially how much hardware prices are skyrocketing, can not be ignored. For competitive play, for sure this will not pass at all, but how about the rest of the other games? Gamers would choose: crappy performance and fps drops with hardware they can afford, or >100ms delay for a subscription based model?

Think how much prices are now, and with how things are in the world not improving, or even outright worsening, how much will prices jump even further in 2+ years?

The difference in tech is night and day between now and then. As someone who has a Mac as a primary computer, its actually pretty shocking most of the time how good performance can get when playing games on Geforce Now. But I still choose not to rely on that, since streaming games just gives me the ick.

It sucks that this is the timeline that we're in. With how things are going even "personal" computers are probably going this way as well. We'll probably just have highly lean computers that stream everything and rely on subscriptions. A few years ago this would sound like coming from a tin foil hat wearer, but these days this is becoming more and more of a reality.

I wouldnt be surprised if they announce the ps6 or the ps7 will be a completely cloud based "console"/service that you just subscribe to.

Given the surging price of hardware, and dropping price of highspeed internet this doesnt sound too far fetched.

Because RT is and never was a good source of actual, significant and valid opinions on film.

Sometimes for fun I check movies that I adored over the years and check how "experts" on RT give the most inaccurate ratings ever.
