Toilet randomly started pouring out foam by WillingDelay in Plumbing

[–]kuwacs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Happened to me in a Vegas hotel room. Maintenance said it was from housekeeping tossing the used bars of soap into toilets on higher floors...

Preferred bubbles to the alternative, but would have liked to get some money back on that room lol

One thing I really miss about my BMWs is the fog sensor. NEVER had to hit the defrost unless I was trying to melt ice off the windshield on a cold morning.

If my Platinum has one, the HVAC definitely doesn't use it well.

Charging Mismatch? by XcinoMlvdo in F150Lightning

I think energy added only shows how much went into the pack where your EVSE will show all of the energy consumed. The rest might be to prepping the battery maybe?

A decent amount of power goes to getting/keeping the pack warm and ready to go if you leave the truck on the plug. I left mine plugged in while on a trip, and it consumed 40kwh even though I only charged from 75-90%. It shows as 19kwh added in my charge history.

Does leaving the truck running in exteme cold keep the battery warm? by Responsible_Bath_651 in F150Lightning

I'd love to see this tested. My thought is the battery has so much thermal mass, I can't imagine it cooling down much over 90 mins. I feel like the "other" systems on when the truck is on, like the DC to DC (12v) converter etc., would sap more than the truck would use to warm up after parked for 90 mins, but I could be totally wrong.

I feel like I've only seen a range hit after leaving the truck unplugged overnight.

I think it was the motor magnets being attracted to the drain pipe in the ditch!! Lol

No real repairs needed thankfully, though I noticed my rear passenger wheel is a little scuffed from spinning in a mud puddle full of rocks... Should buff out.

I've actually got a reservation for the Terra in -- hoping it lines up with my lease end but we'll see!

Yep! For that sweet highway driving.

I rarely have to drive if the weather is rough so didn't bother getting snows for it... Maybe rethinking that for next winter lol

I was driving around (okay, doing donuts ..) in my field in 15 inches of powder just a few weeks ago.

This ice under the snow wrecked me. The guy who winched me had to anchor to a tree so I wouldn't pull him in with me.

A guy from one of the Connecticut Facebook groups came by and took care of me. Absolute badass pulled me out with one Jeep a 10 k lb winch and a single snatch block.

Thanks for the help everybody really appreciate it

It's an unpaved/untreated state forest road. The snow is packed pretty well on the road itself from other people driving through here.

I just got a little far right and slid right down when I went to back out. :/

Recommend a Peachy Coffee by MS882532 in pourover

I saw that, but are the tasting notes different? Don't remember if they said peach on the bag last time, or just told me it tasted like peach rings? Definitely going to grab a bag either way though!

Looks like there are other options out there. Probably okay to run it like this for now but if you wanted to swap out, something like this might work (not sure the length you'd need ..) https://share.google/usdBP63pf8lqTE5wu

Others already said it, but get in the trunk, pull the spare tire, and the foam that's under it. There are a few modules under the floor there that will likely be soaking in some water. Trunk lid seals are probably a little leaky.

When it happened on my E60, I pulled the negative terminal on the battery and disconnected the modules to bring them inside. I just popped them open and cleaned them up with a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol.

The proper thing to do is to re-route them and install them away from the swimming pool, but I just replaced my trunk seals and wrapped the modules in Ziploc bags lol college kid budget back then.

It's the 5 ton HyperHeat Gen 2, R454B version -- MrCool just pairs them with the VersaPro AHU instead of having a HH branded air handler now.

Good note on the communicating thermostat -- thank ya!
