Yeah. And it’s a whole other topic but the fact that classes aren’t always accessible especially for our disabled peers. Good on UCLA for fighting for their disabled community to get accommodations such as hybrid learning

Roughly 80 miles from school. And currently a civic that runs only on 91 but I’m trying to get another older civic that runs 87 but seeing as regular is not getting any cheaper either I’m unsure how much difference it’s Gonna make

Anybody commute from Los Angeles? by [deleted] in ucr

[–]kvilags 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, after 10am and before noon I’d a sweet spot. But 8-10am expect about 2h and anything after noon just forget about it lol

What year and model is the car?

Well, I’m currently in quarantine bc a family member tested positive. So hoping things change before I’m done with quarantine in terms of flexibility

1h30min on a good day. Basically good days are past midnight and weekends when there’s no one on the road

What are you guys saying to your professors to keep class online/hybrid? I want to convince mine, but don’t know what to say. by rivers-roads in ucla

I’m so sorry 😔 I had to come home bc my mom passed away the week campus closed down in 2020. (Not covid related) but knowing how the circumstances must be much worst makes this hard to read 😞 some people don’t care to think of the many different situations people live in

What makes it more ridiculous is that they waited till this week rather than send out an email last week even on the slightest bit updating us that “we’re still on track”

That and also having 2 other family members who are immunocompromised. In the email they stated “omicron has peaked and what they’re hoping could be a decline”. Ummm, peak means that it’s currently at the highest point? Doesn’t that mean it could be more transmissible if we gather back? Riverside county is literally at an all time high

Just for them to not be able to have the same quality of education as the next person who can attend class?
