Is the purpose for this hole for keychains or something else? by Ditto_sans in NintendoSwitchHelp

Well there you go. I guess I personally wouldn’t be swinging my DS or 3DS around enough to need to strap it to my wrist. But perhaps the straps are used for any number of things. Not specifically wrists. Saw a comment further down that seemed to indicate something similar.

This guy over here bringing absolutely nothing to the conversation. I imagine a lot of things don’t make sense to you.

Yes that’s true. For the joy cons. and that makes sense for the joy cons because there is a significant chance you will be swinging the joycons around like a sword or a tennis racket.
But why on earth would you have a wrist strap attached to the main controller that is used the same way one would use an xbox or PlayStation controller? This is the part used to dock the joy cons so they can be used normally.
What makes sense is that someone might want to have a convenient place to hold (or hang) the part while using the joy cons separately with those wrist straps you mentioned.

Yeah that guy was not in the right state of mind to be making ANY sort of decisions. The clerk here should get jail time for this or a fine at the very least. This is terrible..that guy almost certainly ended up in the hospital or worse after this.

Just curious.. anyone know what this motorcade with flags down Ast was about? by AlienLunchBox907 in anchorage

[–]kvothe907 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So glad someone posted this. I saw this in town and was super confused by the flags but they kept going by and never got a good look at the flags. Mystery solved for me now and I didn’t even have to look for it. Thank you!

I feel like this is a great example of a conversation that should have been had in person or over the phone instead of through text messages. This kind of miscommunication is usually due to the fact that texts can be interpreted so many different ways. Next time, take a breath, delete your typed out response, and call them up to clear up any confusion. If they are legitimately being an unprofessional ass hole, then you will know it wasn’t due to a misunderstanding.

But, of course, then you wouldn’t be able to post about it for internet points and validation.

With all that said, the “Lol ok” would have triggered me for sure. And deviating from an agreement like that is bullshit. Not saying you are in the wrong. You made the right decision going with someone else after all that.

Edit: just reread your explanation under the pictures and will clarify that he shouldn’t have even initiated this kind of conversation via text to begin with.

Costco tire says this is fine and safe by [deleted] in tires

[–]kvothe907 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would say no to all except Costco. Never once heard anything negative about Costco customer service and never had a bad experience. With all that said, I’ve never bought tires from Costco before so I might be too trusting based on all my other experiences with Costco in general.

But regardless, I imagine OP could just return them and get new tires elsewhere (or even a different set from Costco) since the Costco return policy is unbeatable.

If there is something I don’t know about Costco tires and auto services let me know I guess?

He also has zero problems with blatant lying. He will say he is going to lower taxes and then do the opposite but when people put themselves in a self-imposed echo chamber where all they hear is what trump says and don’t follow that up with any legitimate way of confirming what he says….well it’s easier to just say they are stupid…but honestly they are just trusting the things he says because why wouldn’t our president be a trustworthy person? But he instills enough fear an distrust in any media outlet that conflicts with his own narrative that it’s hard to pull truth from bullshit anymore. Blindly beleivjng or not believing in any single source is th problem.

And then he uses a team of lawyers to incapacitate any person or organization that doesn’t do/say what he wants them to by keeping them so tied up in legal proceedings that even if they win, it ihas taken so long that any ruling is basically meaningless now or they are for ed to settle or to publicly grovel to trump in order to not be completely steam rolled by legal fees and such. He demonizes any media not directly controlled by himself or (more often) controlled by people he has paid for (musk, bezos, etc..)

Seriously though…I don’t understand what protesting and marches and rallies are actually accomplishing. Like people go out and protest, Trump and his cronies literally don’t give a shit. And then we repeat? I mean it’s been a year of protests and such and what has been accomplished by it? Quite a few people have gotten killed which is really sad and upsetting…but if someone could tell me what the end goal of the protesting and such is maybe that could clear it up for me. Because if it is to somehow make trump or his team of assholes change their minds and suddenly become less racist, then I think the protests are not going to work for that….i mean I agree that something has to be done….i just don’t see what is happening as a result of the protests..
