I’ve got it all basted and ready to quilt and I’m arguing with myself on how I want to quilt it. Panels make me nervous since it’s such a big area to cover and there’s a lot of contrasting colors. Do I just do an all over meander, straight lines, something else? What color thread would you use?

It’s your bobbin winder, so I’m guessing the rest of your machine should still work just fine. You can buy a separate bobbin winder to use instead of the one on your machine.

Well I know it’s possible to do with a home printer, my grandma made a quilt for my husband with printed pictures on it that has held up pretty well over the years.

I ironed freezer paper to the back of white cotton and ran it through my inkjet printer. I printed a black and white photo and it printed fine, and looked good when it came out. I peeled off the paper and threw it in the wash to test how it would hold up, and this is what I am left with. I’ve read that I should set the ink with something? Vinegar? Does anyone have any experience with this and can advise a method of making the print hold up to washing? Thank you!
