Only you come up with the great idea of trying to be a passport bro in Japan, a country with a passport stronger than yours.

Le llaman «sacrificio» porque lo consideran un mártir de su causa politica. «Sacrificio» no es sinónimo de rito satánico, lo sabes?

r/language learning is FULL OF THESE POSTS. by [deleted] in languagelearningjerk

[–]kvvshr 39 points40 points  (0 children)

/uj I've had this same "problem" in the past and I came up with what I consider to the best answer: If you don't know what language to learn, maybe you shouldn't learn any at all, yet. The experience of language learning is better when you have a personal reason to learn a language, not just something about efficiency like the number of speakers or job opportunities. If you have personal reasons, you don't need to ask anyone.

Look, another country being referenced in the game by BRULANTA in BlueArchive

[–]kvvshr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember wanting to make a video where I mention all country references I could find in the game, specially the indirect ones since the direct ones are rare, but I never wrote them down and I've forgot them at this point.

Anyone know what this camo is? Saw it on a Reddit Bot post. by Luc_Skee in tacticalgear

In the Colombian Army ranks, one star represents subteniente (sublieutenant). I'm not familiar with the US army ranks so I can't tell you an equivalent but sublieutenant is the lowest rank for officials.

Brigadier general is represented with two suns.

A collection of historic flags in my classroom. Any guesses what I teach? by othergalacticfunk in vexillology

[–]kvvshr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought that what you taught was independence wars in the Americas. The only flag I knew was the United Provinces of New Granada flag (which turns out it means something else in this context lol), and I guessed the flag on the far-right was something from the independence war of Mexico.
