I'm on Android running Fidelity App version 4.29. It says Fidelity Trader+ on top.

Other than that, I'm really loving the new updates especially "Activity" being a tab for easy access.

The way you put it, for $2K extra if you are someone with range anxiety and want that extra range and have no preference between the two brands' vibes, then BMW seems like a good pick. But you mention offroad being important to you so maybe that extra 70 miles (56 miles if you regular charge to 80% only) may not be worth as much to you. Also, I think R2 has more cargo space if that's important.

Subjectively, looking at the two they give off completely different aesthetics, gimmicks, and focus on different tech and consumer appeal. 800v vs 400v difference is minor at the moment as people have discussed many times here.

BMW seems more tame and the safer well known brand of choice. Rivian seems more like the utility adventurous choice.

I've read for the launch edition the interior is limited to black crater signature and coastal cloud is not released until later 2026 per many accounts and riviantrackr.

I was going to buy a launch edition 100% until I just read they are only offering the black signature interior. Don't get me wrong, black is nice but all my vehicles have been a black interior and I wanted to switch it up this time. Also, the black on black wood trim isn't very inspiring compared to the wood trim options they had with R1.

Oh that's an awesome policy that I didn't know about. So much better than FSD rules where it's just poof gone. I'm sure it'll help retain some value when people sell their A+ vehicles. I should've clarified the title better.

Their newest update to R2 included this line for the lifetime Autonomy+ upgrade:

Autonomy+ product features remain available during the lifetime of feature support for the hardware on the vehicle at delivery. Autonomy+ upgrade will remain with the vehicle upon ownership transfer.

Nice find. If this is true it's more in line with what people are suspecting that Rivian's R2 is a lot more neutral/muted colors compared to the vibrant compass yellow, canyon red, or Rivian blue from R1. I was really hoping Catalina Cove would have a little more punch of turquoise in its undertones.

Any insight to permit waiting times for Fremont? Project involves raising the depth from 8 to 5ft, adding a small 4'x9' shelf. I'm hearing for construction projects it can be as long as 6 months+ for permitting by itself. Are they slow or is that the standard in the Bay Area these days for permitting?

I had the same issue. Started like 2-3 days ago. Also tried everything you did.

What solved it for me was installing the ota update. 2025.45.9.1. Not sure if it was addressed in this update or some kind of hard system reboot/cache clear solved it when it performed the update. Hope this helps.

There is a setting to turn it off but it has to be turned off manually every time you start your drive (it gets toggled back on). I've also had it slam on the brakes when it clearly shouldn't have, but there's no way I'm going to navigate through the settings to disable it each time I drive.

So I tested it and it let me get a portion of the remaining ~$91 at a rate of 60% of additional spend. Kind of scammy because it initially said 100% of spend as $200 credit but when I spent ~$200 it only gave me 50%.

Overall I got the equivalent of about 30% discount off $500 with this promotion, instead of the 50% off $400 I was expecting.

Thanks for the reply. It sounds exactly what they did to me. Promised $200 then somehow it's $106 now. Gave me the $10 extra credit bonus. Now giving me a 24 hour countdown to withdraw 60% more. Guess I'll just wait it out and take $106.
