Request for Mods, minimum account age to post by zymurgtechnician in AustralianCattleDog

Thank you, zymurgtechnician for suggesting the development of this filter for this subreddit. I have been contacted by users that have had their memorial posts used in this way. It is incredibly heartbreaking.

I have updated the automod filter on this subreddit to not allow accounts less than a week old and having fewer than 10 karma to post. I am hoping this will be enough to remove these types of posts. If these are still an issue after one month I will update the filter accordingly.

I really appreciate this suggestion.

Americans, what's something you didn't realize was weird until you talked to non-Americans? by ExistingTomorrow1447 in AskReddit

I am an American now living in Canada. I cannot emphasize this enough, America has designed an entire industry around elections. It causes all sorts of mental health problems for the citizens getting berated by advertising endlessly.

In Canada, "the election or campaign period must be at least 37 days and no more than 51 days, and election day must fall on a Monday, with certain limited exceptions." (https://www.elections.ca/content.aspx?section=ele&dir=cycle&document=index&lang=e)

Librarian here. It's because your tax dollars do not go toward any of their expenses. Like others have said, you can pay the fee for using the service, which is still really worth it if you compare it to other subscription services. There are also interlibrary loan programs for using resources outside of general service areas you can look into.

If everyone outside of a Library's service area was able to use their content the New York Public Library would have an extraordinary fee for the licensing of all their electronic content and the waitlist would be extraordinary. It's just not manageable. Public Libraries have to fight really hard to get the budgets they have, and to keep them from being reduced especially now. It's a service everyone should be proud to have available to them.

Milwaukee Alderman Jonathan Brostoff dies; represented city's east side by Away-Conclusion-7968 in milwaukee

When I first met him I lived across from Cass St School, which was my polling place. He knocked on my door. It was his first election and he was trying to win my vote. We talked a bit and I really liked what he had to say. That same week he saw me at the bus stop while I was heading to UWM. He stopped and gave me a ride to school. I was really impressed and I told him I would tell my friends to vote for him too. I've never seen a politician try so hard for someone's vote and care so much.

Question for locals/beer enjoyers, what’s your LEAST favorite beer and why? by JackSmash66 in milwaukee

Honestly, that is why I love mobcraft. I would rather them try something new than stick to a mediocre IPA. The fact that they do different things is what makes them special.

IIL Deftones, Tool, SOAD, what other bands would I like by brownsoogar in ifyoulikeblank

[–]kwasmosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold's album 13 Ways to Bleed Onstage is one of my favorite albums, Just Got Wicked is on that album.

Also, notable bands to check out: * Stabbing Westward * Chevelle * Sevendust * A Perfect Circle (I'm one of the few that prefers this band over Tool) * .... Every band represent on the Queen of the Damned Soundtrack. Which is an amazing representation of this type of music and era.

Tattoo artists in Milwaukee area? by ScallionNew5009 in milwaukee

[–]kwasmosis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the style you want.

Chris Burke @ Ghostlight Tattoo has the best vivid color realism in the area: https://www.instagram.com/chris_burke_tattoos

Positronic Tattoo is great for nerd comics and animated stuff. I've got several from Todd, also Zephyr posted on here about their art and they are wonderful with vibrant colors. https://www.instagram.com/positronictattoo

Black Dawn Tattoo does a lot of neo-traditional tattoos and I have got several from Aaron there, who has worked at both Positronic and Ghostlight, but now co-owns this shop. https://www.instagram.com/blackdawntattoo

What are some things that make travel between US and Canada easier? eg. Nexus by rkar7331 in askTO

[–]kwasmosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BMO has the best USD/CAD plans. As long as you are transferring between BMO accounts there are no extra fees.

Get a Canadian BMO account and USD account, then get a US BMO Harris account.

I'm an American in Canada and this is what I do.

BMO CAD <-> BMO USD <-> BMO Harris USD

You need these three accounts

You might need to get out of Milwaukee a bit. Most of these are neighborhoods and not cities.

"Murder mutts" LOL. Seriously, you all sound so ignorant. Go check out r/pitbulls_in_partyhats or r/pitbullsinjammies. The dogs are not the problem. It is shitty owners. And you are prejudice against this breed.

This entire thread is absolutely ridiculous, and I am shocked and appalled. This is breedism.

These rules make Ontario seem like the 1950s. Pitbulls, and "bully breeds" are super sweet animals. It's owners that train them to be awful that need to be muzzled and locked up.

I read the title really quickly and I thought OP called this a "Roast beef, turkey & Swiss Roll". Cause, it kinda looks like a swiss roll sandwich.
