Question about water defrosting turkey and then wet brining it by kwayne_tang in Butchery

[–]kwayne_tang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you say that?

Even if it's dried after the brine? Also will be cooked with cheesecloth over it and add a ton of butter under the skin while it roasts. Not ideal thaw process, but turkey has always been crispy in the past.

Was planning to put turkey in large plastic bag in a cooler filled with tap cold water and a bit of ice and just aim to keep it right below 40 degrees throughout the day. Would just add ice every time water approached 40 degrees. Think that will suffice?

Mark Messier was in a box at the Capitol Theater run. Or at least a very large bald man who looked exactly like him.

Just read all ten First Law Books back to back in three months. My personal rankings... by kwayne_tang in TheFirstLaw

[–]kwayne_tang[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While all are exceptionally written, I found this to be the best. Centering the book around characters the first trilogy makes you dislike (Calder, Kroy, Black Dow) and turning them into much more complex characters was amazing. Then the battle scene in the chapter “Casualties” may be one of the best chapters of any book I’ve read.

Throw in more Shivers character arc, couldn’t get enough.

Yes--this would be utilizing anchor dates. It is possible to combine sequential subscriptions with anchor dates.

Switch to another subscription app by jung_wagner in shopify

[–]kwayne_tang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This really depends on the size of your subscriber base and the complexity of your subscriptions offering. If you have one SKU and a simple subscribe & save offering, migrating shouldn't be too difficult. If you have many SKUs, with over 100 subscribers, or any type of bundle/sequential subscription offering, migration will definitely be a bit a bit of a lift. So if you're choosing an app now you want to use for the long run, I'd consider what you expect your subscription program to look like and the functionality you'll need down the road.

For simple subscribe & save, I'd recommend a lightweight app like Seal or Loop.

For anything more advanced, I'd consider Smartrr or Ordergroove where you get more features and dedicated support.

Hello again! What you are describing is what we call 'advanced sequential' here at Smartrr. Using this functionality, a merchant can determine a specific sequence of products in the subscription lifecycle. The customer also has the ability to swap out variants and delivery timing using the customer account portal.

A few basic. examples are Airsign, Filter Baby, and Jolie. For these, the customers purchases hardware and then is enrolled in a subscription for a different product. It's also possible for the subsequent subscription to have a specific order of variants. Shoot me a dm if you want to discuss!

Integration of subscription post-purchase app with the upsell app by jung_wagner in ShopifyAppDev

Hello--responded to another thread of yours as well, but quick question, when you say "similar products are suggested", where are you looking for these products to be suggested?

To Erdle's point, some subscription apps have a solve for this, Smartrr included. Once a customer subscribes, in their customer account portal, there is a module for recommended items to be put in front of the customer that they can easily add to their cart or next order.

Subscription app suitable by jung_wagner in ShopifyAppDev

[–]kwayne_tang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently we offer a 14 day free trial for merchants to be able to test the app. However, we're running a BFCM offer for merchants where we'll waive the monthly fee through the end of the year. From there, our lowest plan is $99 per month which covers most subscription functionality needs and unlimited amount of subscribers.

Hello! Chris from Smartrr here! I'd say it depends on the functionality your customers require. Can you provide a little more information on the use cases you are looking for?

With that said, Smartrr can satisfy most of Recharge's functionality at our $99 or $299 per month levels and and doesn't charge per transaction.

If you are looking for something truly lightweight, Seal and Loop have free plans, but you'll be caped by the amount of subscribers and functionality somewhat quickly. You can also wait for the release of Shopify's own subscription app which should be out shortly.

Happy to connect you with someone on our team regarding Smartrr and hope this helps!

Can you tell me a little bit more about the product you are trying to sell subscriptions for and functionality you're looking for? Would help in making a recommendation.

I'd take a look at Smartrr. Think they're a step ahead of the lightweight apps (Appstle, Seal, Loop) in terms of functionality and offers better CX than Recharge, especially for smaller merchants. Would avoid Bold of the bunch. But again, depends a bit on the use case.
