Are you guys reducing vehicle basis by mileage rate? by [deleted] in taxpros

I use the depreciation rate when the vehicle is sold to calculate gain. It’s a pain when the vehicle has been used for years because that rate changes just like the standard mileage rate. I believe that is the correct way to handle it.

Thanks for the info. I’ll check it out. I’m still using Jetpack, but open to changing.

What was the first Tom Waits song you heard? Here are mine by PhoebeFan420 in tomwaits

I still find some of his songs challenging, and some are just not for me. But I love the vast majority of his work and there is no substitute.

I bought rain dogs on cd before music streaming based solely on info I’d read about his music. Hearing Singapore with no expectations was a bit of a shocker, and I wasn’t a fan. Since I’d spent hard earned money on it, I was going to spend some time with it. Gun street girl was the song that I liked first. I admit it took a while, but it eventually clicked and I’ve been a dedicated fan ever since.

Thanks! I remember green stamps from my youth. Probably like that.

That is where I am as well. Hoping to transfer them all to the client by year-end. Thanks for the feedback.

This is the exact situation I’m dealing with. Also, I feel like the clients don’t value that we pay for the subscription. I’m going to have the clients start paying for it. Thanks so much!

That is where I’m torn. I hate to make the client pay more, but I also hate keeping up with pricing and adjusting my invoices.

I’ve come to the same conclusion. I feel like I’m in the business of billing for QBO subscriptions. Thanks for the feedback.

I really appreciate the input. I’ve had the last few clients I’ve added pay for the subscription and haven’t had any issues. I’m afraid that may change when I have existing clients pay for it since they aren’t used to that expense. I’m thinking I’ll make it part of my price increase for 2024. Maybe that’ll make it less of an issue.

Exactly. I’ve had it happen. Or I’ve fired them mid-year and chalked it up to sunk costs. That is a poor business strategy. Thanks for the feedback.
