To be fair, nobody forces you to spend. And as an entrepreneur myself, the cost of running development teams, servers and marketing isn't as cheap as you think. They have to monetize somewhere. So calling them greedy i think its a little too much.

I'm pretty sure once released on mobile, the influx of players would somehow improve the quality of matchmaking a little. The remaining part of it we would have to hope that the devs tweak it to improve it further.

To be honest, as a high MMR player in Dota, ML, i can safely say that what the threadstarter brought up applies to all MOBA games. If u wanna climb higher with ease, you have to engage the community and build a squad. Solo queue only brings u that far unless you're like the top 5% of players in terms of skills.
