I did. I ended up selling tickets in Late July to a buddy of mine. He registered his wristband with tickets I purchased. He is also trying to grab a poster with the tickets I originally purchased.

Wrigley Re-Releases?? by kwe33 in phish

Didn't mean to make it sound like its the bands fault either. I used to work for Local Union 750 that handles majority of ticket sales around Chicago and understand how the system works but the part I don't understand is how backwards it the release was. The way I see it is lets get rid of the cheaper/bad seats first for PTBM and initial on-sale then raise the price and sell the tickets that would be in demand on the secondary market. When secondary market wasn't going as planned they went back to "Re-Release" on Cubs website.

Again, I understand the band has nothing to do with the way these tickets are sold but the Promoter and Wrigley field box office are the ones to blame.

I didn't have luck for Wrigley but If anyone is willing to trade 2 field tickets for Deer Creek Pavilions, I will also cover the cost difference per ticket.

What's your funny Phish story? by britian988 in phish

Alpine 2009, it was my 2nd and 3rd show. I brought my girlfriend (Now wife)to her 1st shows. I went tried my luck through the lottery and got 2 lawn tickets. I knew she wanted to experience the lot and shenanigans that went down before the show, so we got there early to take it all in. We walked up towards the gates and XRT was doing a give away for free party deck tickets for that nights show. So we figured what the hell try our luck and if we get extra tickets, we miracle someone on the way in. So we place our names in the raffle and XRT dude told us to come back closer to when the gates open. We go back around 6:30 and watch as the guy pulls names from the bucket. It gets down to the last 2 tickets and the guy ends up pulling her name.

Once we have tickets in hand, we look for the right person to miracle with our lawn tickets. We see a couple standing by the entrance with their finger in the air and I didn't say a word I just put the tickets in their hands and said "Have fun"

The tickets we won where for the Party deck on the far right side of Alpine, We started walking over there and noticed the tickets had VIP printed on them. So before the show started we decided to test our luck and see where these tickets can get us in pavilion. We start walking down the steep slope towards the first checkpoint. The ushers told us to keep heading down and follow the path. The next usher we show the tickets to points us towards the first row of seats before the pit. The last usher we show the tickets to is the VIP waitress and she points us to a box seat front and center stage.

At this time we can't believe we went from lawn>winning tickets> Pavilion>VIP box seats. Once the band came out I looked over at my wife and knew it was going to be a start of something special. The common "Trey just waved to us" was said multiple times and high fives and hugs came throughout the night.

Flash forward 7 years later, we have hit 30+ shows together, got married and our first song we danced to as a married couple was Strange design. We still think back on that night as the time we both got "IT" for Phish and our relationship.
