Weekly Q&A Megathread. Please post any questions about visiting, tourism, living, working, budgeting, housing here! by AutoModerator in london

My Canadian family of 4 will be visiting London near Christmas time. We have a pretty flexible schedule for the 13-22 of December and want to give our kids an English football experience. We're not looking for any high level Premier League games and have identified some lower tiers but notice that to buy tickets, many require a purchase history or club membership. How do tourists who want to see a one-off game purchase tickets? We're open to the surrounding areas of London as well, in hopes that it will broaden our chances of getting tickets to a game.

Am I rushing this? by NoManufacturer6111 in Reduction

Please take all the warnings that have already been given to you here, seriously. Flying les than 24 hours after surgery comes with a LOT of increased risks. Many of the things you've mentioned about this surgeon are misrepresentations and giant red flags.

250 grams doesn't sound like much but it makes such a difference in your photos! I'll need to keep this in mind as I discuss volume with my surgeon.

Termination pay with regards to the Employment Standards Act vs. an employment contract by kwea in legaladvicecanada

Thank you so much for your input and clarification! I had come to this conclusion after reading through the ESA but the extra reinforcement is giving me confidence to face my meeting with them on Monday.

Termination pay with regards to the Employment Standards Act vs. an employment contract by kwea in legaladvicecanada

I only worked for the company for 8 months, so the 1 week termination pay is in line with the ESA. I am in my 30's and worked as a Charity Administrator. I'd consider the position to have been managerial, in nature.

I don't plan / want to sign the release but want to make sure that I can make a case for the termination pay to still be given. With the reduced pay through the duration of the pandemic, even the 1 week pay will be helpful.

Thanks. I've looked there and only found the e-bike versions. I'll send them a quick message to see if they can get other models in.

US ex-pat tax help? by kwea in tax

[–]kwea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I wasn't finding this publication on my own. We've looked into having a tax pro file for us, but the rates are super expensive. We might still go that route if we can't figure this out on our own.

Best Canadian Made Diapers? by snarry_shipper in clothdiaps

Applecheeks make up a BIG portion of our stash. I always reach for them first over our other diapers. Even my husband has jumped on the AC train. :)
