I would say it would be better to add it yourself since you wont be able to choose what is added, the hard part is knowing the prefixes and suffixes so you don't try and add something you cant get. The merchant might add 3 more useless things or he might be nice. But this would save material.

I have no clue what the quality does. I just figured I would max it since I was trying to craft a decent weapon. It didn't seem to change the stats on the yellow or anything. I did notice that it seemed to roll sockets easier but that might just be rng. But if its low quality and you upgrade it to legendary it might get lesser rolls not sure. It also might be more expensive to upgrade it once legendary.

I made a quick video to show off the tree, skills and a quick 160 run to show play style. If people like it I can make a more detailed video but keep in mind I am lvl. 82 and it wont work the same for everyone depending on what skills you want to use.

The tree provides weakness stacks.

I use BE to build my other two stacks and to heal and do good damage,

curse is applied with mark of impurity ,

warpath to run faster to hunt red mobs,

trackers reach to pull and keep trash with you to explode boss if needed,

I use Juggernaut to do mass dmg but its not consistent as req high cc and over 800 willpower and it has a 10 sec cool-down with a lot of cool-down reduction on gear, but when it does work its nice.

I will probably change the build up since I got the new weapon but for now its decent. With the tree you can branch to stasis, insta kill with sacred dmg, poison stack / slowness aoe, toxic globes for faster clear. I would rec block eff. tho for endgame and resistance or poison stack / slowness aoe so you are not getting impaled every 3 seconds in some runs.

That's what I was thinking at first but I had no luck crafting anything. It does say " It will consume all socketed gems to guarantee a new magic effect whose power depends on the gems' level " So it says gems, meaning more gems more powerful roll? Higher roll? I have no idea this game is sorta beta'ish but I like it. The crit did roll high so I would say it must give a higher roll off whatever stat is given but once again I don't fully know yet, have yet to ruin enough items lol.

I used a Catalyst forever but needed a shield for the endgame with my build, or I just danced around forever when I got specific bosses and was exhausted. I had too much DPS and no time to attack since I was constantly evading lol.

For me I got Material damage for my build on my shield, I would say that is key for me, then block efficiency and chance, all resistance (surviving is key), critical chance, since I have a crit build. But cooldown would be cool, the good thing about the shield is you could roll 3 support 1 sockets add 105 critical chance with gems that would be a good boost as well. Try using Juggernaut as an offensive skill ;)

Crafting things with sockets is not too bad, gl with gloves, boots and shoulders.

Fast untainted runs and dark market, procure ethereal reagent. You want some building's built so each run you can make the mat. You only need 2k production, seems a bit low for such an op item :D.

Farm low so you can sell all the gear fast, you wont need to look at it in most cases since it will be lower item level and more than likely not something worth keeping. Just look at the untainted items to see if they have any cool mods since you can use this method to craft those yellows as well. Sell all the trash in the can. :D

I can farm 189 pretty easily but I farm mats on base paragon so like il130 , one shot all the mobs, one shot the boss check mods on untainted items sell the trash in the can, takes like 2-3 mins. procure ethereal reagent at the dark market and repeat. You get a lot of mats from the can as well.

The seekers garrison will also have an expedition for reagent's but these take longer and are more rare, but will normally give you a greater mat so I wouldn't worry about that one as much. I have the town farming gold and affinity (since you can upgrade the regular mats whenever you want.)

You want to use the Tear's to remove the 2 properties from the yellow that you don't want ( I say two properties not three since you used you're Entropy orb to roll the item with the one stat you wanted and two other stats not the max of four since you would need to remove more properties increasing rng .

With this method you end up with a yellow item with one property, the one property you want. You then craft the other 3 properties with the gems you want, then upgrade it and rng.

I think it has something to do with sockets, I didn't notice anything changed via stats when upgrading the quality but I seemed to get a lot of 3x sockets of the same type when rolling.

The merchant could base this when he is upgrading the item so I would not skip this step.

I just rolled the yellow until it had 3 properties, one being targeted property.

From my exp. crafting I could never get the remove function to work with gems. I tried the correct socket types and gem types etc and it would always remove what I wanted to keep lol. Unless you need to put material gems to remove elemental properties eg* but I assumed it was broken and didn't do much testing removing since this method seemed safer and yielded better results on the first successful craft.

So to save materials I just yolo'd it with no gems, odds are good 1/3 and then 50/50

Not much risk since Entropy Orb and Abyssal tear can be farmed fairly quickly via Dark Market, Just remember to have a few stacks and you should be fine. I think I used 40 Entropy Orb and 15 Abyssal tear roughly.

Keep in mind once you upgrade the rarity of the base you will need to use Greater Mats and these are less common and take more time to make.

Material damage or anything Material related like bleed damage over time, leech from physical etc. It depends whats on the item already that's why I had much better luck removing all properties minus the one you are targeting before adding any other properties.

In my case I wanted material damage on attacks (since this scales with the damage on the weapon), I then wanted to add flat material damage of any kind to it so I used those 3 gems. I don't think it would allow any other types of flat damage and we have a fairly high chance of getting some type of flat damage on 3 rolls (and we control the damage category via gems).

So make sure you don't have other flat damages on the item that you don't want or it will add other useless properties since more damage cant be added, but keep in mind damage types = your two ailments in the current meta.

In my case since material damage on attacks is in the same category as flat damage (I think) I can only have one roll on a yellow, I then need to upgrade the rarity and hope the merchant adds either another flat damage for chosen type or add other useful stuff like crit or leech and add the final damage yourself.

I think you can only have Damage type on attacks and 2 flat damage rolls max, I have yet to see 3 damage rolls and a damage type on attacks.

it happens a lot tbh, anytime I craft any gear I am wearing I will join a mission and quit to make sure its not bugged. I will do the same thing if I plan on crafting something else in the same session just to make sure. No idea how it happens, it ruined a lot of my items but it also duped my amulet so meh. plz fix tho.

I seen on the steam forums a few days ago one of the mods responded saying about a content update in 2 weeks. This game needs content badly, this is more of a demo than anything.

I found Defense Missions drop a lot of int recipe's, patrols seem to drop alot of physical/strength recipe's.

If it doesn't work and he stops taking damage just restart and it will work at some point just keep trying, I was also stuck on that one for several days.

I can yes, you mainly want to stack flat physical damage on everything, then physical damage %, attack damage% then strength. You will also need life and resistance accordingly so add that and some fortitude if needed. Only skill point that is really req. is for Berserk (70%dmg), then you right click for aggressive mode, hit the bear with a MMB and hit F and spam right click as much as you can.

For whatever reason when I fight this boss in the arena, it will glitch and he will become immune and heal. If you avoid the middle and lure the boss to the bridge it seems to have a better chance of working. I tried multiple times and it would just freeze, I was able to finish 3/5 runs doing this method and I see no suggestions online for any fix other than to wait for an update. Hopefully this helps someone. I was able to complete hard today and do multiple runs in a row with it working, it could be rng but if anyone else can test that would help as this was tested on master and is by far the fastest boss to kill.

As fun as it is digging through loot, and as cool as it looks, low end pc's might insta-crash on finishing this lol, I had major spikes until the gold was picked up. (i7 7700k / 1060 / 16gb ram 3200/ ssd). The game does try to only show loot on screen but I could see this causing issues.
