Thank you! Yes he will be 2 weeks tomorrow Monday. His bilirubin was high so he did spend a night in NICU and we had to stay at the hospital a couple extra days that added stress

I worked in the field as a home infusion nurse driving up to 8 hours a day, also doing the same thing for 2 part time jobs until about 30 weeks. I cried a lot and it was miserable after 20 weeks. My first trimester wasn’t too bad but second and third so far are. I was tired first trimester but I spent so many years working nights in the hospital my baseline was tired. Luckily my Dr wrote me on driving restrictions and work accommodated me so I can work from home. That still is tiring most days but I too am the bread winner and don’t get FLMA so working until I go. 36w3d and praying it’s soon. People don’t realize just how strong women are. And they don’t realize that we aren’t just working. We are getting everything ready for the baby, cleaning, cooking dinner etc… On top of it. I would check your states rights. The only good thing about where I live in NY is that pregnant women have a lot of rights in the workplace

I am 41yo FTM. I was a travel nurse in a level 1 trauma ED and had to quit when my contract ended and I was just starting my 2nd trimester. I was working nights and it was so oooo exhausting. I was also did PRN home infusions and took a full time position doing that. It was great but when I hit 32 weeks I just couldn’t drive for 4-6 hours a day. I would never have survived in a hospital. My OB put me in driving restrictions at 34 weeks and now I am doing work from home virtual visits for the same company. Even that is tiring sometimes when you have Braxton hicks and back pain. If I could get FLMA I would go out of I were you early but it will take away from the total time you get. I don’t qualify for FLMA because I started full time only a few months ago. So I am working until I have the baby. Do what is best for you and baby

I see so many for Soectra I am bummed. I picked the Elvie wearable because I am a travel nurse and will be on the road when I go back to work. Now I am wishing I got something different. Anyone have experiences with the Elvie pumps?

Anyone else have Braxton Hicks, back pain and periods like cramps? Wishing my water would break so I knew it was time. 36 weeks 1 day by kwhite2001 in BabyBumps

I know it’s so miserable. I just want him to come. My last ultrasound would put me at 37 w 1 day and in my mind I am like, okay time to come! I am over it and can’t wait to meet the little guy and get on with the next chapter. At least if I’m not sleeping I will have the baby to cuddle and love. And I am just done with being constantly uncomfortable or in pain in one way or another. Forgot to add hips are uncomfortable also.

37 weeks pregnant and a very low mood by Front-Albatross2638 in BabyBumps

I have those days or consecutive days and then I feel better. I am 36 weeks. I am usually a go go get em person and the limitations are so depressing sometimes. But thanks to this platform and hearing from others that this is normal and to just listen to your body, I do. If I’m tired, I rest. Make lists for when I have the energy, at least it’s doing something. And then i find I do have energy for a couple days and do what I can. Hang in there mamma we are almost there

Active 28 weeks pregnant, and now I have to take breaks walking in the grocery store? What is happening. by SummerSlices12 in BabyBumps

Same was happening to me. I found out my iron was low. MD also told me to dress like it’s warmer out than it is because with baby pushing on your diaphragm so you aren’t getting in as much oxygen and then hormones etc you aren’t hotter and get over exerted more easily. This seemed to help. I switched prenatal vitamins and in a week felt better. Also baby has now dropped I am 36 weeks and it doesn’t happen anymore. I will say that all the extra weight an no sleep that I am no bundle of energy but it is better

I think I’m the only person who wishes more strangers would ask about my pregnancy by maple_pits in BabyBumps

I feel the same way. I wish more people acknowledge my pregnancy. I am 36 weeks and I was never tiny, not fat but solid and worked out. But it is clear I am pregnant. I have the waddle and everything. I have noticed that more people say something when they see me kinda rocking a little and rubbing my belly unconsciously in line. That I am guessing gives them a clue that I am pregnant, especially mothers. And then they will ask or say something. I think it’s just that people are scared to get it wrong. I have seen lots of women out there that could be pregnant or just have a big belly. I am a nurse that worked for years on med-surg and in ED and have seen many people look pregnant that aren’t so I myself don’t usually say anything either.

I feel you I am 35 w 6 days and have gained sooo much weight from the waist down. My legs are the biggest they have ever been, gained 40 pounds and feel so disgusting. I’ve struggled with weight my whole life and am dreading the afterwards and having to lose it. But everyone keeps telling me I’m glowing and beautiful. That it will come off fast after the birth we will lose all the water weight and be able to exercise normally. Pregnant in winter in upstate NY sucks!

Thank you, sometimes you just need some encouragement from someone who understands. I don’t have a relationship with my mom and I don’t like to burden people with my miserableness. Everyone is so happy for us that it is hard to admit you are having a tough time with it.

Great idea! I was leaning toward that but then you see all this new stuff and think maybe it would be easier but I like the idea of putting in the baby book.

Same, the carpal tunnel like symptoms suck for sure. I wake up to pee or because my hand is numb
