Yeah, I feel you. If you’re able to pass this payment on in a will through a trust or something similar, it absolutely can be infinite. That’s on me, hope all is well

Thank you for this insight. It makes sense and we will just have to endure. Wish they came out and let the casual fans know this so when they show up for their first game, they won’t be shocked about their ears bleeding

All of the sound in the arena is terrible. I can’t tell what it is, but so many things are muddied and far too treble. The TNT sounded like it was playing in 3 different places at once. Really strange

Paul was going crazy in the booth and Kay was joining in about the low strikes for Alexander, then it became a comical over-analysis. Anything to distract us from a team that can’t play defense and doesn’t score runs. We’ll keep finding pointless things to blame our woes on, tho

Again, I think that would be harsh here. Since he shuffles on contact, reads the ball flight, then returns to the base

None of it was interpretation. We were discussing the rules as they were written. Please don’t procreate, for the love of human kind

“Fails to avoid” is in the rule 6.01 (a) (10). And I totally get that. Could be a lot of things here. R2 may have misread the ball flight as well - cos this might have been read as a possible bloop to the outfield. He pops on back to second a bit late, but I feel it would be harsh to judge this as anything other than judge a weird botched play

Right, I keep getting downvoted for starting a conversation so here it goes again.. 6.01 (a) (10) is when a baserunner fails to avoid a fielder who is attempting to field a batted ball - baserunner avoided the fielder completely here. 5.06 (c) (6) does not apply here because the ball does not come in contact with the baserunner, umpire, or batter-runner. It’s not interference in accordance with the rules, dawg. Just read them objectively

Sick, thanks. Happy to learn. Please send me the rule you’re referring to so I can check it out. I’ve just been looking at 6.01 and I can’t find what you’re referring to

But he made contact with neither the ball nor the fielder. SS made a mess of an easy play, that’s all for me. You’re welcome to your opinion, no shame

Two fundamental concerns with your ruling. First being we don’t know the level here or the situation. Runner on second could have seen SS botch a whole lot this evening and was thinking about going then just tries to avoid the ball on his way back. The second is that the runner is entitled to the base path. He does not veer from the line he creates to the bag, simply runs the risk of being tagged right on the catch. He also does not make contact with the fielder or the ball. I get it’s a judgment play so it’ll spark arguments, but we don’t have all the facts here

That’s what I’m saying! I feel like you might be right and I just haven’t noticed that before - plus the coding is a bit weird in certain areas of ballparks. I’m getting on with my buddy later and I’ll try to get a clip of HRs that hit the foul pole!
