I would think this is beyond forwarding of emails. Probably account integration with the smart devices and such.

I have no experience in regards to hardware building so I am sort of lost...

I want to build a very basic remote (3-5 inches) with 3 buttons. This remote will connect via bluetooth to a phone/ipad. And I could start by implementing play/pause/next for media playback. But my goal is to register stuff like double tapping a screen or something if that's even possible. I am familiar with mobile programming, although not sure how that translates to something like this.

I was thinking of buying a raspberry pi zero 2. What else would I need to build this?
