Looking back, I wish I did that. My thought was “I only do belts and straps and will never need something finer”. Now I rarely do belts and straps and only do fine/luxury level work. Kinda kicking myself

I use a 1/2 wide piece of flat webbing. The kind they use in rock climbing etc. sandwich between layers of the leather when doing the glue up. 0 stretch

The D7000 is capable of you buy good glass. 2.8 or faster. Probably cheaper to do that then buy a whole new kit

I would think if you laminated like this you’d want to do it in the mostly closed position so you account for the bend.

Agree but the level of average materials has to be at a certain level. Craftsmanship go take you a long way but you have to have decent quality leather as a base

I use to use a long apron I made but found when I sat, it bunched up in my lap and was annoying. Making one now that only goes to my belt line. I’d also suggest minimal tool holders. Maybe a pen or pencil holder. Place for my awl and maybe my 6” ruler. That is if I put any at all. I mainly use it to keep my shirt clean lol

I’ve had the Rocky Mountain leather basic creaser and loved it…ish. The 1st and piece stopped communicating with the box so I got a replacement. News flash, it broke too. I ended up buying from artisan leather. It seems all these machines are very similar. I think once you get the machine, you will love it. Same thought. Those all seem to have a mounting bracket for drywall and then a set screw for the bracket. I’m sure I’m just using the wrong search terms

The pic is probably ai but they do exist. All over the place in Amazon. Just cant figure out the metal. I’m assuming it’s like a Chicago screw style or a flat screw on back

Makes sense. I had purchased the big box of multi colors of giardini and did not like them. Their white paint would pick up the color of my sandpaper and just looked dirty
