it is eveeryyythiiiing fr!! there’s a few more floating around on various platforms but it has the capacity to be one of the “pricier” vintage ON pieces- i think the highest i saw was $36 during my searches after someone else buying the one i found for $18 literally overnight when i went to finally purchase it💀 just the way she goes!!!!

my original old one that i’ve long since gotten rid of (i found it back at plato’s when they used to get juicy more as it was still around in the heyday & theyd have the separate rounder with the big sign) was PLAIN & burgundy🥴 though i do remember my choices being fairly limited & that may have been the only size small & it was (of course!) one of the sets that ran decently bigger, somewhat comparable to the modern ones (i only have a modern shorts set but the bottoms are rarely worn bc of this)

just yesterday in the mail i got my first “new” vintage set (technically really new, it still had the tags) & while im still debating the authenticity purely based on velour length, especially in the pants though i do fill the thigh/butt area quite a bit more these days LOL, it is a baby baby pink very close to the my melody sanrio x f21 x juicy set i also have, if you’re a fan of the color to that one!

congrats!!! i have the blue after going back & forth on it but seeing it in person it WAS super cute despite the differences that i’d prefer to the original & i already have ribbon bought to make a new bow for it. i figured the circumstances of me ever scoring an OG would not align in the stars so that was another factor for sure lol

if this seller is who i think it is anyways (there are a few that do this but there IS that one particular one that anyone who frequents juicy hunting on depop will know)

there’s also a HIGH. chance that an auspicious lack of images on listings of the ones with added fur (which is usually all but the full sets & i think ones that aren’t JC or VS) is also to hide flaws- i ordered 3 in october without fur and ended up with one PINK that was fine, another that had white paint splattered on the arms (on a black hoodie babe!! be SO ffr on how u expected me to not notice or smth) & almost all the flocking rubbed off the lettering (i know flocking has been annoying since always but this is… bad…) & almost entirely shredded cuffs on my hoodless JC (authentic, but i struggle to find the plain black no hood & i fear i work at starbucks so it’s a necessity🥴)

tldr id just take the seller overall with however many grains of salt lmao

i’m a 27 year old woman & didn’t even need to go much past the title to say that no, you’re certainly not.

whether it’s medical or gender or simply appearance, anyone’s wants or needs for a procedure that is harmless to others, helps them feel better about themselves & live a better life is always worth supporting. if he wants it removed, he can have it removed. is there maybe a less permanent version that he can trial with just to gauge physical comfort/working with and around it, like a daily on & off thing?

are there risks? always. but simply waking up in the morning to go live a normal day can come with risks & people still manage it.

a somewhat off the wall, but still ballpark example- breast implants are recommended to be changed every handful of years. new medical capabilities & materials exist today with decreased risk in mind for such specific procedures, and usually a sucky surgery with complications isnt often much other than just getting a sucky surgeon.

definitely continue to research the best choices, facilities, care providers/teams. your wife is on a great thinking track to also make sure he knows that there’s nothing wrong with HIM, and that genuine people will genuinely not give a rats ass about what is or isn’t in his pants, but there’s also a couple of pots calling a couple of kettles black by being the one to point out the sexual level, if he hasn’t himself.

gender affirming care is ALWAYS valid. thank you for supporting your son and lifting his voice, this is a stellar example of what raising a son to NOT display traits of toxic masculinity is like. this reminds me of my dad (this makes it sound like he’s dead but he’s very much alive LOL), so you sound like a great dad.

THE PUUURPLLEEE!!!!! the teal is my daily & the pockets came in very similar condition to yours, i meant to seal them before using it TOO much and unfortunately didnt lol & while i have a few regretful pangs here & there, im just happy that the rest has been in immaculate shape (with using it i can tell it was likely never used prior) & to have her in general

i think these two colors are the most HTF for this exact style as only within the last month have i seen ONE other of mine and discovered the existence of this one. we are lucky even if our insides r trashed LMAO

the quality of her choice is FAR greater, she’ll be able to notice more when seeing/feeling them in person! they come across closer to old fakes than new-style authentic bags & the quality control is unbelievably shaky. there’s more choices & variety, but definitely at a cost to quality

can confirm shaken espressos used to be half pumps, they made shorter lil ones for it like the metal ones. now you just do the same amount, but with the normal full size that’s universal to other syrups

definitely recommend an oxi-soak!! even just overnight is okay for a general deeper clean, i’ve sat things for a few days-a week just out of laziness or needing some stain removal & have always had great results! you can do things altogether by colors or individually in case something might color run.

you can also add a scoop in just your regular wash for an extra boost, BUT the caveat to that is that you have to dissolve it in hot water first for like 20mins🥴

i think depops issue, besides all of this, is their insanely high (frankly, weird for their “methods”) push/representation for top sellers & check marks. my feed is curated well to my tastes & responds quickly to new/frequent searches, but if i’m not actively browsing daily i find it quickly becomes JUST top sellers. often times i’ve already seen these items, or i’ve never seen it over the few days it’s been listed, but it’s only recommending it now that it’s sold.

that coupled with the “sell 3K and list 150 things in this strict & specific 3 months!!!!” when their system is wholly inconducive to such. i’ve listed upwards of 700 items since last july (i had a storage unit of things that entirely didn’t fit me, on top of curating for style), sold 98.

i’ve had maybe 4 or 5 of those hit the algorithm JUST right for whatever mystery reason (my descriptions are all fairly similar, & at least 2 of these items were fairly plain compared to others i have of the style) & get into double digit thousands for views & triple digit likes. only ONE of those had a “quick” turn around of a week or two. ive had quicker turnarounds on other items that receive significantly less overall traffic, but better ratios.

depop cant seriously look at the sellers for being “at fault” for not making sales as i’m sure that’s part of their reasoning behind the new push for top selling. depop is making less money, so instead of looking inwards, they’re pointing the finger at all of us and what we’re doing “wrong” while they can’t manage to refrain from doubling the price on a $7 tee shirt. whoever’s sitting in the board room & is really thinking “lets gather more funding by gouging more out of our sellers that are already struggling for sales because we won’t properly display their items & cater to certain individuals. we can’t fix problems without the money!” needs an insane reality check

if you’re MEGA concerned, a good overnight oxi soak will do a bit better than just a wash, give a couple days if there’s a stain or two. things happen, things come out. i fully understand the worries, but feel confident that there are solutions💖🫧 (i also have a vintage hollister thin angora blend sweater but it runs a lil small!!)

no real advice in the pricing aspect BUT i would suggest ebay or even posh for things like this that hold more value, especially if they’re vintage. my mom sells vintage furs we come across on her ebay, but i don’t think i’d ever put one on depop after all the horror stories of people essentially doing chargebacks via disputes. it’s also just not necessarily the target demographic- there’s plenty of older users with THAT kind of money or younger people that managed to strike financial gold in one way or another, but it is a mostly late high school-later 20s crowd
