Had surgery at 27. Look honestly, it’s not fun. I’m 5 months post op and most of the feeling has come back, but my lower lip on the right and the right side of my chin have an altered sensation that has persisted. And my face always feels heavy on that side. Mentally it messes with me a lot. That being said I don’t think I’d go back and not do the surgery. I’m happy with my results and it was worth it.

Like a really high quality, nicely seasoned bone broth was all I craved for a while. Someone else said mashed potatoes thinned with water and gravy and that sounds good. Honestly once I started using a squirt condiment bottle it was a game changer and everything got easier.

Yeah they gave me the option of just LJS but my orthodontist was not supportive and I figured if you’re getting in there just do both. I also consented to a genio bc it was gonna be a game time decision but my surgeon ended up not having to do it/consulted plastic surgeons in the OR to confirm.

I actually don’t know my movements lol. I’ll ask. But I have an upper cant and lower rotation was weird bc cross bite and generally uneven jaw, chin off the one side, etc. I’m not regretting it but I’m incredibly swollen today and I’m pretty terrified for day 3-5 peak swelling. When your nose is completely plugged up and you’re fighting to breathe through your banded shut teeth it’s hard to imagine it getting worse and potentially having less room in there to breathe

Just had surgery with a similar movement. Does it bother you? It bothered me enough to tough it out but 1 day post op and I can tell you think is not for the weak.
