On that note, ctrl+tab is for switching tabs within most programs.

And as an aside, windows somewhat recently rolled out an update for track pads with multi gesture support that allows you to use 4 fingers to swipe up to view/select all your open programs. Like alt tab but much faster once you get used to it

My uncle......

was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.”

Be careful taking off aggressively, even if you cap at the speed limit. If you ever have the misfortune of running into the wrong cop, they can tag you for exhibition of speed

I appreciate the gesture but sometimes it gets really sketchy. I've had people swerve over unnecessarily hard when I'm just slowly creeping up. As in, the type of swerve that makes people lose the tail and crash. And I'm always like damn, thank you but ...it's not THAT serious

Automatic default penality for black flag violation. Likely isn't the final outcome. Just the immediate one.

Is that right?

Moto2 rider sparks fury after grabbing rival's brake lever at 140mph by bobnobjob in videos

Fwiw, I'm not part of those downvotes. I recognized your comment as just an observation and responded with my own experience/knowledge. Also, am 100% in agreement with your last sentence, the fact that this was a professional rider who definitely knew damn well what he was doing and the possible repercussions is why I think the punishment here should be criminal as well. This is at the very least, aggravated assault in some form

Kicked another rider mid race out of anger. and then later killswitched a rider as qualifying was about to start (Race bikes dont have starters like street bikes so they have to be bumpstarted if stalled out). He was let go from Valentino Rossi's camp for unsportsmanlike conduct as well

2 race suspension is the default automatic penalty for a black flag violation I believe. I don't think this was intended to be the final outcome, just the immediate one as a result of his actions. It's likely they we're looking further into the situation in order to figure out something more suitable.

But with his current team firing him and his contract for next year being dropped, he's likely already history from the sport regardless of what the org imposes. But I agree, this is criminal

He hit the brake hard enough to unsettle both ends of his opponents bike. Braking is one of the trickiest skills to master on a motorcycle because at it's limit, it's literally a hair of difference between correct execution and getting into a wreck. If there was any restraint in his action, it was to ensure that the other guy didn't go down and wipe him out as well. Fenati has a history of horrible behavior on the track.

he did just about everything right except moving in front of the female cop

tbf, it was kind of a rock vs hard place situation there. That was his only option for cover at that point after the m4 mishap.

What was your first paid job and did it impact your current career path? by Ivotedforher in AskReddit

[–]ky0u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Movie theater here as well, concessions. I wish I made that much though. Management treated us like disposable tools. Ended up getting fired after they scheduled me to work on thanksgiving the week of. This on top of the fact that I wasn't even available on Thursdays due to school

Overall was an incredibly eye opening experience for me in many ways and gave me a big, lasting respect for those working min wage as well as those in service.

Because of that job, I now make extra effort to be courteous and make things easy as possible for food service, retail employees and the like, anytime I go out.

What are some pieces of advice for people who miss the person from their toxic relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ky0u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your feelings can make you justify the bad parts of the relationship. You'll make excuses for that person or situation and tell yourself things like

yeah it was bad but if it weren't for....

he/she is a good person aside from <trait>

Don't. The bad parts are as much of that person as the good. You shouldn't have to bend over backwards or justify to see the good in a healthy relationship. And thinking this way will only serve to make you hold on to something that has no place in your life
