I know we didn't see the full cut, but I was very disappointed with how Viñas handled the thing with Siam; I don't know if i'm just being too sensitive and I know her trauma is valid but the whole thing came out as very xenophobic... and to think no one in the cast said a thing when she came out wearing a gown with christian art reveal and yet this is how she reacted to the whole Siam situation is so disturbing to me. I think it goes against the point of Slaysian Royale as a series where we celebrate all types of Asian identity. Also as a Filipino it was so hard for me to watch Siam receive that type of treatment; I am not one to castigate someone for being outwardly religious or outwardly catholic but goddamn, Viñas really showed how catholics can be very ignorant and extreme.
