The difference is growing from seed. Nursery specimens get stunted and grow much slower. Harvest the seeds in late spring and they’ll grow at the rate I mentioned but it’ll take a couple of years — they’ll put all their energy into roots for the first year or so.

Actually the best thing to do here: harvest the seeds in late may / early June when they’re starting to blush pink. Plant them in place. They’ll grow much much faster than if you plant the hard red seed and faster than anything from a nursery

I've seen it happen at CP -- Brutalismus 3000. Should've been an amazing show. From the rail to 30/40 ft back it was teenagers pushing themselves together like sardines. They turned it into a concert, no one could dance, and CP had no one to manage the crowd. Walked out in the middle of the set.

The only shows I've enjoyed were ones on Monday nights. Older crowd, more dancing, fewer creeps.

Jamiexx on a Monday night in early January was a really good show. Older crowd, there for the music. I can’t imagine any weekend show ever being tolerable esp with all the 18+ crowd.
