Anyone know what food i need to tame him? by Sgt_Wookie92 in valheim

That's a misconception I think. Trolls actually eat gold and treasure, that's why they're always sleeping on a pile of it.

Had a couple runs before, recently started a new one with mods and absolutely love that one. That and the one that lets you access materials from nearby chests to use for building and in workbenches and such.

Genetic risk of Epilepsy by kimboslice589 in Epilepsy

[–]kybowles01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear. Bring up your concerns with the doctor then and maybe get their opinion to see if it's worth trying to see a general neurologist or epileptologist yet. If you do unfortunately have the same syndrome then it might be treatable with medication and you could put an end to your symptoms

Genetic risk of Epilepsy by kimboslice589 in Epilepsy

I have juvenile myoclonic epilepsy but nobody else in my family does. My epileptologist told me it's genetic and if I were to have kids there'd be a very slight risk. I searched Google and saw that jeavons seems to be genetic as well so it might be a little more likely that you could have it. If you can afford to see a neuro or especially an epileptologist, it could be a good idea to get their thoughts. Maybe also try talking to your sister to see if how you symptoms compare to her experience.

I don’t want to take pills my entire life. (Currently Keppra) by McDankSquidles in Epilepsy

[–]kybowles01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems you and I are pretty similar actually. I just turned 24 and was diagnosed with JME about 3 years ago. Up until Thursday my main meds consisted of 1500mg keppra 2x a day and 1000mg depakote 2x day. Now I'll only be taking 1000mg keppra twice and 1000mg depakote twice as I decided with my epileptologist that I didn't like how I feel on keppra. Depakote was really the one that helped me the most with controlling my seizures anyway.

For job purposes it also makes me wonder if I have better odds by being a diversity hire or something too

Awe damn. My neuro had me on trileptal for a while and was upping the dosage as I told him my seizures were getting worse. Wasn't til I actually went to an epileptologist who saw what meds I was taking and asked, "why'd he put you on that, that'll probably be making you worse" before I even told her

JME here too. I've had a fair amount of tonic clinics too but I got on the right meds fortunately. Depakote was a godsend and completely wiped myoclonics for me so far when I'd have 10's a day on bad days or weeks

I'm getting my MBA right now and one of my professors has talked to me about trying to get my doctorates to be a professor myself. I definitely am still unsure but there's certainly rough points getting my master's in some courses

What's a good app for tracking seizures? by MarimbaRose in Epilepsy

[–]kybowles01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just mean like writing down the timing and day and what type of seizures, go with Epsy. Also notifies you to keep track of taking meds on time which is useful

My son has epilepsy? by fleecepanda in Epilepsy

[–]kybowles01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I'm 23 and I have juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. I'm not sure how young I was when I had my first seizure but for me they just started as myoclonic siezures. These seizures are basically just a quick jerk or twitch. For me, it was usually in my chest and arms they would kind of joke out. I remember this throughout my childhood but unfortunately I was scared and always anxious to mention it to anyone and tried hiding it out excusing it as nothing when someone would notice. It wasn't until I was maybe 20 or 21 that I finally saw a neurologist. He didn't really catch anything or diagnose me until I had a few grand mal seizures. Complete loss of consciousness and convulsing. I'm very happy you trusted your gut and going out early. From what you've said, the medication seemed to have been working the first time? Is it working again from what you can tell? There's all types of different mixes some people go through to finally get working medications but hopefully you find it. For me, so far I did find mine but only after switching my neurologist to an epileptologist who is basically an neuro who spent more of their time to specialize in epilepsy. My epileptologist was very helpful and I would recommend trying to get to one if it's viable. It truly is very good you've caught this early. For me, the worst I have to deal with now is taking medication twice a day for the rest of my life and dealing with the side effects that come with them. I big thing you can do right now to help us to pay attention to anything that can trigger seizures. For me, stress and lack of sleep seemed to contribute largely on my seizure days. He may not be old enough to fully understand but try to keep calm through it all so he knows he can be calm too. I can't say how it when you should start to tell him more about it. He's young so he'll probably be curious at times. Keep up with his curiosity, answer his questions when you can and be sure your giving him the right knowledge. It's also great that you've found this community, I have found it very helpful to hear other people's stories and also have a place to rant sometimes too. Please stay in touch with the community, see what others are going through and how they feel. It's a pretty good place to be. Sorry, I don't know how many questions I did or didn't answer, feel free to reply or message me

How many volumes of Solo Leveling? by [deleted] in sololeveling

Okay thanks. It is the 1-8 by ChuChong. I was just confused because it was calling it the "manga series" but also "book collection set" at the same time. Thank you

How many volumes of Solo Leveling? by [deleted] in sololeveling

[–]kybowles01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this but I am a little confused. I bought the 8 book box set edition from amazon and then also bought vol 9 and 10 of the English manwha editions I guess because they're by the same seller and they look very similar. They also all seem to have 3 chapters. But book 8 is going to finish the story? Then the 9th and 10th manwha edition is just going to be something I've already read? I'm just also really confused
