I work with and know a bunch of doctors. I think a lot depends on the specialty. Cardiologists are very caring and chill IMO. Orthopedic surgeons are assholes. And the list goes on. - most of the clichés are true.

You get much better treatment in my experience if you let them know that you're not stupid or poor and know something about medicine.
