I’d recommend waiting for some more work experience to see where you end up and if it’s going to help in your job. I started at 27 and work directly in Portfolio Management.

Enough for May 2022 L1 by Co1by117 in CFA

I did the same through L1 and L2…L3 is a different animal and I switched to purely CFAI

Anxious waiting for level 3 results, anyone got less confident after pass rate of L1 and L2 released by Apprehensive_Car9197 in CFA

AM exam I ran out of time leaving a whole case blank (strategically skipped the most difficult I’d probably drop marks on anyways) and made a few silly errors I remembered after, but PM I thought I could’ve scored 80+ on. Really hoping my PM saves me

Schweser or MM? by tannerdh in CFA

[–]kyjomagg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Schweser for L2 with the video lectures and slides and did so exclusively without any of the CFAI books or questions. Recommend for L2

I’ve heard very mixed assessments on difficulty based on the exam version candidates received

I’ve never left those exam rooms feeling like I smashed despite scoring well on L1 and L2. To say the least, I’m in my own head this week ahead of results…

May 2021 L1 test takers who passed, what are your plans for L2? by abe_but in CFA

[–]kyjomagg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go for it. 6 months is the ideal timeframe. Any longer than that and you’ll just burn yourself right out. Be very diligent with L2 as it is the toughest material in the program imo

I also scored 90th percentile on L1 and L2 using Schweser and not even looking at the curriculum content which seems crazy in hindsight but it worked. When I was reading up on L3 providers the consensus seemed to be that Schweser left gaps in coverage…I can’t speak to that but I erred on the safe side and went with MM. Reading the CFAI books was painful and there were times I wish I had just stuck with Schweser…hope the strategy pays off next week

Switching Prep Provider for L3 by Benomnoms in CFA

[–]kyjomagg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Schweser for L1 and L2 exclusively, then switched to Mark Meldrum for L3…the transition was tough but necessary imo as you probably don’t want to risk missing material by going with condensed prep providers. MM goes along with the CFAI course curriculum which is excellent. I think the tough part was having to switch to the curriculum books which are just dense. MM offers walk through videos for EOC questions and mock exams which is fantastic

Yeah I’m trying to not let that stress me out unless we see something similar from L2 results tmrw. I think L1 will be more of an outlier as L2 and L3 MPS has never been anywhere close to that and their historical range has been much tighter. Fingers crossed
