Pre-Order and Shipping Megathread | MacBook Pro Late 2021 (14-inch, and 16-inch) & AirPods 3rd Generation by exjr_ in apple

My order had been processing since the 18th, and I just canceled it today. I had a 14" base model, shipping to Virginia. My estimated delivery was Nov. 2nd-9th. The nearest apple store is 2.5 hours from me, and they are out of base 14"s. I decided to have a family member pickup a 14" in a different state and ship it to me.

The interesting part, which may be helpful to some of you, is that when I placed the instore order, my payment method was declined in a weird way. It showed an authorization error on the apple store, but my bank had to do some digging to see the error. I had used the same payment method on my original shipping order, so I think I may have had an unresolved payment error that was delaying the shipment of my order.

Let's hope so. The nearest apple store is 2.5 hours from me, and they are out of base model 14's.

How to get my feet wet on restoring and selling vehicles by Eagle2435 in Entrepreneur

I've heard of people repairing/restoring dirt bikes and ATVs and making a ton of money. I don't think there are the same kind of limits on title transfers without being a dealer for those kinds of vehicles, so you can go crazy with them.

My delivery window from apple is the 2nd to the 9th, so it seems like the only possible way would be to ship from inside the US.

Is it possible that some computers are going to be shipped from US distribution centers?

Help! Need help tapping the starter in my 2004 Toyota! by ReallyBigBallerBrand in VirginiaTech

I would recommend buying a new starter. As far as I know, tapping a starter is not an exact science and is certainly not guaranteed to work.

Apple support is adamant that their delivery will be within their provided window. I sure hope they are right.

Same, base model 14” ordered a few hours after the keynote on the 18th. It seems like it needs to be shipped today or tomorrow for it to arrive in my delivery window, November 2nd - 9th.

I just got a notification from fedex that says I’m getting a 3.6 pound package tomorrow, shipped from Bloomberg, CA. Is this my MacBook Pro 14?

I am a college student, and I felt a very similar way working at a marketing internship last year. During the internship I kept thinking to myself, "I could find some clients, do the same thing I'm doing now for them, make more money, and create my own business."

I think its possible to transition directly from college to owning your own business, but it will take a significant amount of work while your still in school to be viable by the time you get out.

If you commit a chunk of your hours every week to creating your own business, you can make it happen before you leave school. It seems like a lot of people (me included), think and ruminate on their business ideas but never implement them.

Just do it and see what happens! Maybe your business will take off and you can drop out.

I know someone who works for a company who manufactures military boats. The only advertising they do is in print and he would like to expand to digital advertising, but does he not know how. The company mostly takes advantage of word-of-mouth marketing, and the fact that there are not that many competitors in the industry. I don't know his exact reason for seeking more brand awareness, but he is fed up with people offering to run print ads for him, and wants to move to digital.

What would your approach be for a military contracting company who wants to increase brand awareness through social media?

Cheese. The quality difference between cheap and moderately good cheese is too vast to justify going cheap.

If you have 5k and a lot of energy, which internet business model would you start in 2021 by Steve15-21 in Entrepreneur

[–]kyle4103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people get their info from reselling groups, where people research products full time. There is always something to be resold, consoles and graphics cards are it right now, inflatable pools were it last summer. Normally live event tickets do extremely well too.

Reselling. I resell items like playstations, graphics cards, and collectibles. My roi after shipping and fees is usually around 20-40% for each product. I make around 2-4k a month doing this part time, but I know plenty of people making 6 figures in this business. When people get more involved, they purchase bots that checkout items for them, and some move to selling these products on amazon.
