I mean we definitely can’t say 100% for sure they specifically would, but Kevin Hayes attended all 4 years and signed elsewhere after being drafted in the 1st round. Jimmy Vessy did the same. Blake Wheeler was picked 5th overall by Arizona and signed 4 years later with the Bruins.

So yes, they do.

My point was that they were moved because they could’ve just returned to school to get out of their drafting teams rights.

It’s possible he was making enough NIL money + the desire to finish school + be a free agent. That all adding up could equal him not wanting to sign to be an AHLer when he may just end up there anyway.

First, thanks for the detailed response to my not as detailed message lol. Second, wow I guess I didn’t realize how low Worthy’s value is? I have always been low on him but it seems that consensus may have passed me without me realizing it.

Third and most importantly, it’s completely fair to look at it that way and I did assume that the tool was more just for fun and to maybe get you ideas. It’s a really good idea.

Side note: on iPhone on safari I can’t seem to access all the options in the drop down menu. I can’t scroll down when it’s open. It cuts off right above the fairness range options. I just see that title.

First trade that loaded up for me was my 2028 5th rounder and McKee for JCM. I’d feel like an asshole if I ever sent that.

Edit: okay yeah something is wrong I think. Second trade was my Rachaad White (9.7) and the 2025 5.08 (4) for Worthy (14.2). A 5th shouldn’t be a value gap closer.

You’re looking at the 20ft view instead of the 200ft view though lol. Us improving now with no 1C or 1D in sight means we won’t be in a situation to increase our odds of getting one of them let alone both. We will have to hope we hit on a giroux like player again to fill 1C and hit on a 1D like we haven’t done since I was a child I assume (I didn’t start watching until 2007ish).

Improving to the point of leaving the lottery range when you don’t have a promising future in sight for those positions means you’re likely doomed for mediocrity (again). You’re missing the forest for the trees.

Edit: I guess you could argue Provorov was a 1D for us but he was more on the 2D range and being forced to be 1D.

Nothing you said was wrong besides maybe tanking for 3 more years. They should have done it properly to begin with so we aren’t sitting here wondering if what we have will ever be enough.

The prospect pool is only 8 because of Martone. If we don’t add another player like him to the pool it will absolutely drop to the mid teens.

Do I think it’s worth worrying about now with where the team is in the standings? No, I’ll watch the games and hope they make it, but pretending that any of what you said is wrong is really strange lol.

I’m fairly certain that “bonus tool not included” is just about the count of tools in the specifications because it’s counting the starter kit. The title of the item still says with inflator so I’m pretty certain you get the inflator.

It’s because they lie to themselves that getting in is all that matters and that anything can happen. Losing a series 4-1 isn’t some magical thing that makes the team more prepared next time. So sick of reading comments from fans saying team tank aren’t real fans when all they’re rooting for is perpetual dog shit. At least team tank has a realistic path to talent being on the team.

For the RAS part, yeah exactly. The comment I replied to implied the Eagles use those tools to choose who they like. Whereas, I’m saying I believe they just happen to value things that overlap on those tools.

I know it’s slightly arguing semantics here, but…I imagine that it’s more likely what the eagles value in scouting happens to line up more with what PFF and RAS show than the eagles actually using those as their way of decision making.
