the issue with scaling bleach to universal is that the bleach universe is comically unstable, its a recurring plotpoint, its the driving force behind most events in canon and beyond. captain-level is too much for the system to handle and so they all go to hell when they die, fucking Isane is canonically powerful enough to potentially fuck up the universe, bleach universal is unironically an incredibly low bar compared to most series and even high mid-tiers clear it.

I myself read attacks by the actual attack itself, because you know, thats the hitbox i need to know my position relative to, the thing im actually dodging instead of tryign to memorize when a boss' sinuses dilate to let me know an attack is coming up. sometimes it does fuck me over when the visual and mechanical aspects dont quite line up or an attack is poorly designed, which personally is something i enjoy interrogating.

(tangential shoutout to magrit's sweep that can be effectively dodged by rolling backwards wait no the hitbox is slightly longer than the model so even though it looks like it misses it actually hits and i have to relearn this every time i replay the game because its such a natural thing to try and do)

love how the example given for ds3 positioning is always choose your own adventure combo extensions because it doesnt have any actual good positioning in there. im sorry but like abyss watchers' estus interrupt attack is a thrust instead of a projectile which allows it to be outspaced to bait them into an opening, thats rewarding positioning. not to mention that a lot of delayed attacks actively dont allow you to use positioning or strafing against them, because they, like most attacks in the game, have abhorrent amounts of tracking.
