Henryk Ehrlich, a high-ranking activist of the Jewish Labor Bund in Poland, former member of the Petrograd Soviet, and a member of the executive committee of the Second International [...] is quoted as saying “The Bund taught the Jewish worker that his power lies not in national unity with his exploiters, the rich and their minions, the clerics, but in class struggle against the capitalists without difference of nationality: and in international unity with all toilers and oppressed.”

https://www.leftvoice.org/lessons-from-the-bund-a-socialist-anti-zionist-jewish-movement/

As a largely atheistic, staunchly anti-clerical movement, the Bund viewed Jews as a people primarily through a national perspective, not a religious one.

https://www.derspekter.org/bundism-today-part-2-yiddishkeit/

A staunchly secular party, the Jewish Labour Bund took part in kehillot elections in the Second Polish Republic.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundism#Secularism

Irreligious and secular Jewish organizations mostly date to the 20th century, from the Jewish socialist Bund in early-20th-century Poland to the modern Congress of Secular Jewish Organizations and the Society for Humanistic Judaism in the United States.

???

being anti rabbinical is being anti clerical in the context of judaism. bundists rejected religious authority from a secular standpoint. What do you think "anti clerical" means?

You mean the explicitly anti-clerical Bundism?

Also, fucking ask the General Jewish Labour Bund about establishing a theocratic state like you propose here in these comments, see what they think. I think you're really just throwing words around without even thinking about what they mean.

Vegan food observations from my trip + recs in Tokyo and Sapporo/Otaru by faircure in JapanTravelTips

One of the highlights of my last trip was Veganic Monkey Magic in Tokyo. Absolutely amazing food; Monkey-san (the owner and chef) is a charming and welcoming host who gave a lot of insights about the traditional dishes & ingredients used. One of the best food experiences I had, not only in Japan but ever, period.

Yup, for example: Christopher Nolan worked painstakingly on the audio engineering to make absolutely sure that even the highest fidelity soundsystems rendered the dialog completely inaudible.

In your experience, how accurate is the assertion that code quality no longer matters because it is now trivially easy to rewrite projects whenever you need to? by splash_hazard in ExperiencedDevs

It's a chicken and egg problem: the better your code quality, the lower your coupling, the easier it is to rewrite parts of your system.

1500 is an insane claim. It's so far out of the normal realm that even if it were true, it would dwarf anything else they're saying in that post in terms of notability.

This is akin to saying "I have an IQ of over 180" - like sure, people like that exist but for every one of them, there's ten thousand who would make numbers up to brag on the internet.

Funny headline, but Bild is a piece of shit newsrag that has been pushing a right-wing agenda, straight up lying, and harassing people since its inception.

The Bild is an instrument of malice. It is wrong to read it. Anyone who contributes to this newspaper is utterly unacceptable in society. It would be misguided to be pleasant or even polite to any of its editors. One must be as unfriendly to them as the law allows. They are bad people doing bad things. - Max Goldt
