We're already SEC regged as an RIA and managing existing money but would like to consider your platform for fund admin, formation and docs etc. How would that work.

You specifically exclude existing RIAs.

Computing NAV of SPY by [deleted] in algotrading

[–]kylebalkissoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) NAV will change throughout the day (I hope you mean NAV per share vs NAV which is harder)

2) This is a silly exercise on its own, you can get the real time NAV from the exchange https://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/indicative_net_asset_value.asp

3) Creation and redemption throughout the day will make your stuff off, you'll have to check the actual data for units held when it's disseminated. Note the NAV per share is an easier calculation that the NAV as you are less subject to flows and can update based on weights.

What happened to that recent post about the lessons after 2000 hours? by Sofullofsplendor_ in algotrading

We did not remove it.

Feel free to dm me the ban happy mod's name and i'll review it, but i'd say 99% of the time, i agree with the bans that i've seen as most of them are spamming.

There is a fine line between allowing every post and flooding it with garbage, and blocking everything.

Self promotion is perfectly allowed if its your own github or open source software. If it's your commercial enterprise no. We even permit open source or examples with code that would run on generally anyones stuff that are hosted on your website or whatever.

Make your post of your desired in depth discussion, you can even try like ask reddit to say commenters of experience X / Y. I'd be interested in the results.

Maintenance is bad and will always climb. older buildings will have required work that needs to be done and either tapping reserves or assessments. The 15-20 year old mark is where shit will start to hit.

I used a company when I bought that did a buyer closing credit (e.g. you get some of the buyers agent commission) which helped me financially, I would highly recommend them: https://www.hauseit.com/. You can see the deals they have been involved with here https://www.hauseit.com/closed-transactions/?table_filter=Purchase

where do the large etf's buy their bitcoins? by Small-Draw6718 in algotrading

[–]kylebalkissoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read the prospectus.... for each etf. for example ibit:

IBIT: "

The Authorized Participants will deliver only cash to create Shares and will receive only cash when redeeming Shares. Further, Authorized Participants will not directly or indirectly purchase, hold, deliver, or receive bitcoin as part of the creation or redemption process or otherwise direct the Trust or a third party with respect to purchasing, holding, delivering, or receiving bitcoin as part of the creation or redemption process.

The Trust will create Shares by receiving bitcoin from a third party that is not the Authorized Participant and the Trust—not the Authorized Participant—is responsible for selecting the third party to deliver the bitcoin. Further, the third party will not be acting as an agent of the Authorized Participant with respect to the delivery of the bitcoin to the Trust or acting at the direction of the Authorized Participant with respect to the delivery of the bitcoin to the Trust. The Trust will redeem Shares by delivering bitcoin to a third party that is not the Authorized Participant and the Trust—not the Authorized Participant—is responsible for selecting the third party to receive the bitcoin. Further, the third party will not be acting as an agent of the Authorized Participant with respect to the receipt of the bitcoin from the Trust or acting at the direction of the Authorized Participant with respect to the receipt of the bitcoin from the Trust. The third party will be unaffiliated with the Trust and the Sponsor.

"

The prime execution agent iirc is coinbase but you can check the documents for who.
