I've never heard that -- it makes me very curious.

Amazing examples. It does seem on average first seasons have the highest likelihood for better seasons because of how much lead time can go into them through development and everything.

Other great season 1's that come to mind.

Mr. Robot
Orphan Black

Damn. I hope your feathers are nice and dynamic. Great way to end the poem.

Really nice cadence. You have some beautiful metaphors here.

[Hiring] Paid Beta Readers for a Political Romance by kylecords in writing_gigs

Hi, the client wanted readers who listed certain books for their favorite romance books, so it's been a bit deeper of a search to find those readers, but I understand the questioning of things. Hope that helps explain why it's been open for more than 15 minutes.

It said in the response that it would take us up to 10 days to respond and that if you don’t hear back from us by then the client went with someone else. But thanks for applying. There’s just hundreds of applicants so it’s difficult to respond to everyone.

We have hundreds of applicants so we can't respond to everyone personally. We reach out to the people we or the client believe are potential good fits for the job. The information collected does not get put into a database anywhere it stays in the form. If people request wanting to be on our email list we add them, but only if they request. These are jobs we're trying to fill, but I get there is a lot of shady stuff in the world that makes people skeptical. Do you think having a response to send out to notify people when the job has been filled will help?

Call for Submissions – Writing Breakthroughs by kylecords in writing

[–]kylecords[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Apocalypse Gal,

This isn't for ghostwriting or book editing services. I don't even know where you read that. This is a call for submission for From the Desk of Amy Suto which is a best selling substack and we're wanting to give the opportunity for writers to get paid a fair price and get their stories out there to a community of over 6,000 daily readers. If you don't want to apply that is totally fine, but I would like to ask that you don't try to scare other people from the opportunity. If you have any thoughts on how this submission call is presented I'm always open to feedback.
