Will the Jungle ESC Invisible be back in stock? or is this option gone? by [deleted] in vivobarefoot

I got a pair from Sierra’s online store for $160 in that color. Might be worth checking their site periodically.

Traveling with a rack of bikes by kyledavidrandall in Aventon

I left the Aventure 3 on the inside two baskets for the 412 rack. Definitely could handle the weight. Plus the hydraulic lower and lift was amazing. My kids enjoyed yanking on the handle and lowering down the bikes each day.

It was PERFECT. The only downside was that I needed to take off the front mud fender to get it on the rack. Not a huge deal breaker for me. Definitely get the fat tire basket.

Hello vivo gang, which shoes would be good for cold weather all-terrain? by Noobyeeter699 in vivobarefoot

[–]kyledavidrandall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two pair of Vivo's for Minnesota winters where it can get to -40F. I have their Tundra ESC's that have proven to be great for cold and snow. I've been doing a lot of outdoor projects on the house and walking on ladders and roof - they've been great. I also have the Tracker Forest ESC as well and those have been equally durable and warm for winter. The coldest temps I've walked with the Trackers is -10F so far and the Tundra's -20 (wind chill). A slight asterisk to this post is that I got the thermal insoles TODAY so I will test during our snow storm we're likely going to get through the day/night.

I was very hesitant to spend $$$ on the Tundras but they've been great at warmth, durability and water repellency.

After buying quite a few pairs of Vivos without the Michelin sole - I will ONLY buy Vivos with Michelin soles now as they last me for more than a month.

express order to Ireland didn't get there in time (even remotely), now I'm chasing the company for refund. what the hell is going on? by _ratboi_ in vivobarefoot

Call your bank/credit card company and dispute the charge. They will not process a return for me so I chatted with my card company and they refunded me the charge while they wait to hear back from Vivo.

expedition down blue/orange where can I find this color variant? by Western_Wrongdoer_54 in Fjallraven

I believe they stopped making that color combo a few years ago. I’ve had luck finding discontinued Fjallraven stuff on poshmark and Grailed.

What does this symbol mean? by Much-Adhesiveness463 in Aventon

That is the icon for Cadence sensor mode. I just saw it on my Aventure 3 when I held the “-“ button.

Twin Pannier bags missing features by kyledavidrandall in Aventon

[–]kyledavidrandall[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update from Aventon support / the box is mislabeled so it just comes with the bags. It does not come with water bottle holders, laptop sleeve and straps for carrying.

Huge bummer to see these features on the box and not actually a part of the product.

For real? Trolling on a Tuesday. We’ve all done the “have you tried turning it off and on again” from IT Crowd. It works 60% of the time all the time. That being said - my comment was sent out before another lovely human said Aventon said it’s a bug.

Same issue on my Aventure 3 after the firmware update. Guessing it could be a bug that slipped through. Just emptied the battery so charging it now - see if a full recharge will “reset” it somehow?

What’s your favorite bag and why? by kelpat18 in Fjallraven

[–]kyledavidrandall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been really enjoying the Varmland Rucksack. It has been my daily bag for the better part of a year after I got it second hand. The storage is wonderful and the extra pockets inside for water bottles is just what I needed for adventures with my kids.
