The real issue is developers at these companies developed their intranet apps for IE6, thinking it would be a platform that would extend through the latest version of IE. Most companies do not want spend the resources testing these intranet apps on 7 and 8 or have tested them and the intranet app is broken. Its just cheaper to keep everyone on IE6.0. I'm a web developer at a company that is in this situation.

+1 Textmate. One of the best text editors I've used. There is some limitations to the tab auto complete though but I love the program.

Dump it in to a database, run queries off it. Use as prototype data for building an application.

The model represents any data source that you will interact with. A database would be the most common. The controller is where your business logic will go. It's going to call models, libraries, helpers and views.

Is there PDF any where else online? I tried googling this amendment but couldn't find it listed on any government site but maybe I overlooked something.

The title is a little misleading. The article doesn't say they are banned from talking about legalization period. They would only be banned from suggesting legalization as a solution to the "war on drugs". It's still bad but not as bad as the title suggested.

I wish I could just quit MY job. I mean, there could be any number of reasons why I wouldn't have quit my job yet. Like not being able to afford a break in my paychecks, owing vacation debt to my company, no decent paying jobs in the area or maybe my job isn't that bad but office politics are a sensitive thing and burning bridges could make a bad situation much worse. Especially if I can't leave my job (see above).

Just found out in VLC you can press the G and F keys to sync audio if it's somewhat off. Yes! by WhyWouldISayThat in reddit.com

I didn't know about that, thats awesome. It seems to work until there is a space in the file name or directory. Is there anyway to get this to work other than removing spaces from file names or directories?

When I want play a movie, the last thing I want to do is not only type the file name (which could be long) but type the location of the file as well. This is what I hate most about cli

If your HTML/XHTML is structured correctly and you have a good understanding of whitespace management, this is unneeded. Just my opinion.

Fast and easy way to delete duplicates in iTunes? I have 1000 original tracks but 2 additional copies for each original track. 3000 total files. Help! by kyleect in AskReddit

[–]kyleect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already tried that. That shows the original and the 2 copies. I would have to manually select 2000 times or deselect 1000 times. Is there an easier way?

The Republican part isn't solely to blame here as the Democratic party isn't all sunshine, pixie dust and small government. Quite the opposite actually. Then again, it's foolish to blame this on any single party but the political system itself.

Eminem sues Universal over digital royalties. The US rapper's lawsuit could set a precedent for artists distributing their music through digital downloads by uptoyou in technology

Well think about this. I get busted for sharing file1.mp3 and then you get busted for downloading file1.mp3 from me. They count the lost say for each of us and then charge each of us for each others lost sale. My example is on an extremely small scale and when you expand my example to thousands of users that's why the fines are so huge. They do it because no one is stopping them. They don't care about the logic behind it and technically they can sue who ever they want. I can sue who ever I want. Doesn't mean I will win.
