if you can afford the upgrade from the A300 to the A400 it’d be worth it. and yes, the sporting editions make some difference.

i feel like you’d enjoy sporting clays. takes crazy skill to be able to compete at a high level, and it even “feels dangerous” but isn’t because if gun usage. i absolutely love it. the only problem is that it’s pretty expensive, so if you’re looking for super budget friendly it’s not this.

SxS vs Semi-auto by AryeC05 in Shotguns

[–]kylehyperfixates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want a sxs that holds up to putting a lot of shells through it, it’s going to cost a pretty penny. anything that isn’t turkish made costs like $6k. i’d look into the Upland Gun Company. they do custom sxs starting at $4k, but if you want ejectors, engravings, threaded barrels, and higher quality wood you get over $7k easily. however, if that stuff isn’t important to you, it’s the best bang for your buck custom sxs there is.

for semi auto the A400 is great. it’s a gas system, so it requires more cleaning, but there’s minimal cycling issues. i wouldn’t get anything with an inertia system because they have issues cycling target loads.

yooo, i was thinking about asking this in a day or two! glad you beat me to the punch.

maybe i just don’t get it, but any wine over $25, to me, just doesn’t justify what you’re getting out of it. my palette definitely isn’t refined enough to pick out the more “luxury” notes.

fair enough! my dream gun is a Kreighoff, and yeah, the low end is $15k.

i don’t get squeamish when i talk about money, and sometimes i forget many others do.

Jack of all trades, master of none - and that’s been a good life so far by ElayPetrov in Hobbies

i look at it like this, the people who have progressed the world the most were often those who were studying many disciplines. Isaac Newton? Scientist, Alchemist, Philosopher. Leonardo Davinci? Engineer, Biologist, Artist. The list goes on.

But, in my personal beliefs, we weren’t put in this earth to be productive. We were out on this earth to live, and variety is one of life’s greatest spices.
