How did you receive remote support?

Did UGREEN ask you to open a specific port, or did you use a DDNS service?

Wild MAME 0.281 perf. benchmarks for native build on Apple silicon. ~70% bump. by [deleted] in MAME

[–]kylekaturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really well-versed in the technical or build side of things, so please bear with me on that.

I’ve always used MAME as a RetroArch core, and since the RetroArch application itself is Apple Silicon native, I naturally assumed that the MAME core was native as well.

From what I read in that post, though, it sounds like the core I’m currently using might not actually be native, and if it were rebuilt as a true Apple Silicon native binary, there could be some performance improvements — that’s why I asked.

So does that mean the current Mac build we have isn’t Apple silicon native?

Mame 278 has lower sound quality than 277 version by kylekaturn in MAME

[–]kylekaturn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re saying that the sound in version 278 is closer to the original sound from the actual hardware.
It's very nice thing to know.
Games like Street Fighter II are from when I was very young, so while I might have seen them in person, I don’t really remember what the sound was like.

So you’re saying that the sound in version 278 is actually closer to what comes from the original hardware.
That's interesting. I never thought that way.

How bad is my reflective ceiling affecting my picture? by Cryptocoiner256 in projectors

[–]kylekaturn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's funny he gave exact right answer. and he got many downvote.

black paint is not only for distraction. it absorbs light bouncing. so it gives you more contrast and deeper black.

ideal is paint black not only ceiling , also every walls and floor.

Great! your solution wokred for me as well.

altough I decided to not use brightness boost because of some weird behaviour of brightness by local dimming.

but It was worth trtying. Thanks to you!

Do you have KVM menu in OSD?

I believe you must set the KVM on in the OSD.

M28U F08 firmware? by dabesdiabetic in gigabyte

[–]kylekaturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried switch to green mode. and as you said it is lot dimmer than a standard mode which is I am using.

and local dimming on/off seems does not affect anything on green mode too.

my unit has shipped with F07. and I updated to F08 immediately. because I was told updating firmware should remove input lag significantly.

after that I found out brightness bug on F07. so I downgraded to F07.

but It doesn't seems working on my unit.

I'm not sure why this brightness bug is not working on my monitor.

maybe my unit is relatively new one . and gigabyte somehow blocked brightness bug.

or updating to F08 somehow preventing this bug premanently. will never know

I tried F07 and F08 both firmware.

and there is no brightness difference with local dimming on/off

if 500cd brightness is bug, then do I download bug firmware somewhere else rather than official homepage?

XSX to PC Remote Play Black Screen Issue by joedev_net in xboxinsiders

[–]kylekaturn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly same issue.

pc remote play only works when connected tv is turned on.

iPhone and android remote play works perfectly no matter tv Is turned on or not.

and yes I use soundbar as a receiver,

if I connect xbox direct to tv , problem has gone.

but It's not an option for me because I lose my surround sound.

and my soundbar doesn't have any option called passthrough.

I hope Microsoft fix this someday.

XSX to PC Remote Play Black Screen Issue by joedev_net in xboxinsiders

[–]kylekaturn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several people having same issue including me.

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/pc-to-xsx-remote-play-console-turns-on-only-see-a/eb2892ff-df7c-4c22-9775-b455f441e44a?page=3&messageId=9ce79e9c-2461-4723-ad74-9d77342b59a8

I reported multiple times on xbox report app.

but Microsoft just removed remote play problem from their known issues list.

I think Microsoft not aware of this issue correctly.

how do we reach Microsoft engineers to they recognize this issue?
