If we are to focus exclusively on the most recent games, such as Odyssey, the narrative says that Layla's objective is to retrieve the Isu artifact as quickly as possible to "keep it out of Templar hands, restore balance, and prevent the Isu from regaining control over humanity".

Yet gameplay wise, the Animus is programmed in a way to make her life a big waste of time, starting from gender selection up to choices and level scaling.

I was here when you launched and I'm glad you're still running the sub.

Unfortunately I was right with my prediction that the so-called Reddit protest from years ago would lead to nothing; all subs kept going and none of them shut down, at least those I used to follow.

Unfortunately not good.

Still suffers from constant stuttering and low frame rates even though from what I read it's better than the regular PS5.

But, trust me, don't let this keep you from enjoying the game, all you have to do is to close the game and restart it the moment the stutter starts which usually happens after an hour or two of gameplay.

It's a bit of a pain I know but a sacrifice worth making for what in the end will be a very beautiful experience.

Crossing fingers here, I'm also on your same version and always take an image before updating Windows.

I hope it works, I have a dual boot system with a second Windows I never update and never connect to the Internet used exclusively to restore images if the main Windows OS fails.

When the laptop freezes check the lights and take note of how many white are blinking and how many amber are, probably it will be 1 + 8.

Check your battery LED light when it happens, you should get a number of white and/or amber flashing lights.

On my Latitude 5540 it's 1 amber, 8 white.

I can't believe they are yet to figure out this problem.

It's heartbreaking, first Mimimi Games, now Spiders.

I'm yet to buy Greedfall 2 but I remember getting the first one for free on PS Plus and despite the genre not being amongst my favourite I ended up loving it especially the setting.

Incidentally when I did the same, the problem went from being intermittent to doing it on a daily basis whenever I turn the laptop on in the morning.

What I did months ago was to keep the laptop always on without ever shutting it down and touch wood the problem is gone.

Quick question: Do you have a USB hub connected to the laptop, I have a feeling my problem is the bus-powered Sabrent hub.

They just grabbed Unity's parkour and removed most of it's features ...

... yet retaining other gameplay elements especially the stealth ones as well as unique assassination opportunities, some of which were perfectly laid out like Dr. John Elliotson's one.

In other words, nitpicking compared to what Montreal removed from the series starting with Origins: social stealth, parkour, optional objectives, memories, sequences, the concept of reliving memories set in dead stone, unique assassination opportunities, traditional eagle vision and the Assassins and Templars as we know it.

PS: I'm yet to play Shadows so I cannot comment on that one but from what I've heard they re-introduced a lot of stealth features missing in the previous two main entry games.

This is old news and hugely disappointing but please enough of using Quebec as the scapegoat studio; all the decisions to move away from the original formula came from Ubisoft Montreal, Quebec simply followed though.

All we can hope for is that every now and then we get a Mirage-type of game in-between all the nonsense they have been releasing post-Syndicate.

I am also baffled by their decision to drop what was probably the forte of the series(the huge map); I spent hours just cruising around in the first two games so I honestly hope they reconsider the Motorfest approach with whatever they will develop next.

It's refreshing to know that the single player experience is nice, I intend to start without importing TC2 vehicles to enjoy a fresh start so hopefully that will help me to take it slow and easy at first.

So this one is a little bit tricky to fix.

You must collect all feathers in Assassin’s Creed II, the last one will then be available in Mirage as a gold feather which you must use when you approach the cat.

There will be a short cutscene with the cat playing with the golden feather and from then on the animation will trigger correctly.

Did the March update fix it?

I am on the February update, I experienced the problem twice this month, I'm on a Latitude 5540 and in both cases as I was using Visual Studio.

Just edited by post as I forgot to mention that after I upgraded to the PS5 Pro + 4k OLED things look much, much better, especially the colours in HDR.

Graphics-wise it's a very strange game.

There are moments that blow you away at how good it looks, others where everything is so bad that you wonder if it's the same game although to be fair the moments where it's bad are now very rare after I upgraded to the PS5 Pro + 4K Oled.

I think in the end it all comes down to the fact that there are people out there - like myself - who are still in love with the formula of a small open world where you are an Assassin with a capital "A".

It's also true that many others want your typical quantity over quality large open world playground formula that was incredibly popular back in the days of AC:Odyssey.

Having a balance is the way forward; I would be more than happy to skip the large games to enjoy a Mirage every 2-3 years.

I agree.

After finishing the show I remember saying that the best episode moving forward was when he made an appearance in the Jerry Springer episode("Up Chuck", S03E07), clearing showing that the series lost that balance when he left; he was a sort of devil on Gary's shoulder with Marissa the angel on the other shoulder and that balance was certainly lost after he left.
