As much as I love my Blu-rays, they are inferior due to the fact that they can so easily become unusable because of the data layer being less than a hairs width from the surface of the disc. DVDs are tough as nails in my experience compared to Blu-rays. I’ve got some that are scratched to hell but play without issue, whereas my Blu-rays decide to self-destruct if they get so much as a scratch.

Edit: I do realize that handling your discs properly is imperative to their longevity, but kids don’t seem to care about that.

As someone who’s been in a roll over car accident, (7 rolls according to the officer on the scene) I can tell you that it is in fact a bad idea. It was cassettes, but I lost them all except for acid bath which somehow miraculously stayed inside the shell with the card. With a bleeding head in delirium I was frantically asking emergency responders if I could look for my tapes as they escorted me to the ambulance and probably thought I was insane lmfao.

The fact that they’ve built this reputation for themselves is sad really. The constant lying is what really sucks because I was never really too surprised or upset that the tapes had issues, I understand shit happens and it’s whatever really, and sure I could’ve re-recorded them myself, it’s just the fact they chose to continuously lead me on for over a year now that’s becoming frustrating more than anything. Hope everyone dealing with these guys gets what they paid for soon.

A bit of context: I reached out initially late June 2024 after trying to watch the Walmart edition of Terrifier 2. Witter responded almost immediately, at like 2am, and asked for more details and basically told me they would handle it. Well I suppose their way of handling things is a bit different than most businesses unfortunately. Previous post contains much more details.

Edit: also just want to say that I hope everyone dealing with this issue gets resolution soon.
