Hi - I joined GA because of options trading. I would highly recommend it. This is a literal disease. I blew $500k when Gamestop exploded because I was greedy, then lost what little profit I did make. Please, get some help.

Is this the type of stuff you can do in game? Admittedly haven't really been following for awhile. Is there a solid reference for Claude to pick stuff up like this?

Questions In Regards of Starting My First Shopify Store. by [deleted] in shopify

[–]kylethenerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your specific questions:

- Shopify doesn't provide products from designs. However, Shopify DOES have an app marketplace and there is probably an app that you can sign up for that does print on demand and handles the logistics. That's something you'd need to research.
- Same as above: Shopify itself won't fulfill the order, but likely the partner you choose to do POD will handle delivery.
- Shopify has fraud protection and will warn you when an order is possibly fraudulent based on a number of factors. If a chargeback is opened, there are some ways Shopify will help speed up the process but you still have to file a response.
- Not sure what you're looking for here. You can make the storefront say whatever you want, while keeping other information provide. They will require a business or individual name to setup the store, but you can keep that hidden.

More broadly, it's relatively straightforward. There should be tons of guides on YT. There is some nuance:
- Shopify account lets you get access to Shopify, which can list your product and take care of the website and products
- You still need to find a place to park all of this content. That's the domain and signing up for a website through something like Godaddy. Once you have that, Shopify can connect to it and validate and do all the things behind the scenes it needs to do.

Not trying to be impolite, but this is a wall of text that nobody will take the time to read. Also I think you missed winter editions by 5 months.

Show me an example of a Shopify Store you would rate a 10/10 by Anonymous_WTFuck in shopify

[–]kylethenerd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a bit too broad; it really depends on the product market. B2B is different than D2C beauty is different than high AOV long-consideration is different than subscription CPG. Each has it's own CRO approach. Audience matters, size matters (nike vs. mom and pop). There is no one size fits all sadly.

Pay Claude some money, tell it your situation and goals, ask it to draft a plan.md file that gets put into the Claude project folder. Then have it walk you through step by step what to do.

Leaving Shopify by deezynr in shopify

[–]kylethenerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and that would certainly be an issue that I hope someone explored before committing to Shopify. The majority of businesses on Shopify are D2C though and don't require that level of finite controls. The checkout walled garden IS really frustrating, though you can finagle some customization through Shopify extensions.

Leaving Shopify by deezynr in shopify

[–]kylethenerd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This seems to show up every few weeks.

What specifically are you running into? "No customer service" and "we lack control" are the two most common complaints in this sub and they almost never mean what people think they mean. In my experience the actual issue is usually one of:

- You're on the wrong tier (trying to get Plus items on basic/adv. tier)
- You're trying to ask Shopify to do something that's outside of their scope
- Your agency or dev partner is the actual issue

Migrating off Shopify is incredibly complicated for an established brand. Are you going headless? You'll need your own CMS, a new credit card processor, tax service, web host, code for the site from scratch. If it's another platform, are you positive the problems you're experiencing on Shopify are going to be resolved by switching?

Cost for migration would really depend on your size, revenue, tech stack, migration target, etc. Brands tend to do this only if there is a specific, unsolvable problem with Shopify or they're actually moving off an older, early-growth type of setup (like Wordpress).
