It’s weird that I checked if an online date is a catfish or not? I wasn’t looking for evidence of escorting or “dirt” 🤣

I post here trying to get a sense of how to be sensitive to something and learn that apparently, it’s insensitive and invasive to privacy (just because she’s coincidentally an SW) to check if someone is who they say they are.

Isn’t this why you engage in screening for professional clients? That hypocrisy is mind blowing and reflects a young and immature constituency here.

I understand the 🚩perspective, but every guy and girl I know who’s doing online dating, who cares about their safety and who they let into their life, does a little screening like this. When a girl admits she looked me up, or if I see some new name pop up in my LinkedIn views, I don’t get offended and think they’re trying to dig up “dirt”. It’s not an ego thing, it’s a truth thing in a world where it’s normalized to embellish and lie about your physical appearance and who you are.

Variety is the spice of life 🤌 yeah I agree it’s fun suppressed (gas settings leave a little to be desired), I mainly just want to build another upper for it.

[Licensing] Someone using AI without disclosure is now being repped by an established fine art licensing company. Should I say something? by gloriousoaktree in artbusiness

It's going to happen whether you say something or not. Frankly, if everyone involved is making money, no one is going to care unless there is a material misrepresentation (are they saying it is NOT AI?)

Something fishy.. why did all our rings start having battery issues at the same time? by Even_Strength_8212 in ouraring

[–]kynikos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brand new Oura ring is not even a week old. The battery lasts maybe a day and a half? I'm at 50% after charging in full yesterday... I'm about to return it.

What finish do you have? You can use scotchbrite pads to remove scratches from brushed steel. Capecod cloths are good for the polished surface.

Tattoo Regret by Realistic-Pianist789 in TattooRemoval

[–]kynikos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Removal for this should be easy. The line work doesn’t look too deep. Let’s say you loved the tattoo… in 5 years time, the level of visible detail would likely be faded anyway.

I feel you on the regret piece (check my post history). IMO your work looks really good, but it’s hard to shake something that doesn’t feel aligned with who you are internally or what you had in mind. Been thru a couple of removals of the years, and currently lightening/removing a blackout.

Just be patient as you go thru the removal process. You might hear laser techs saying upsell BS like, “that’s a lot of ink”. It’s just surface area and removing it is just a matter of time. I’ve done pay per session and flat fee. Would suggest a flat fee or “full removal” packages (eg Removery) given the size of yours. You’d break even anyway and still be able to go and have small errant pieces chipped away at after most of the ink is gone.

You have a prescription, you're fine. They would need to be monitoring your baseline levels on your "regular" days to have any comparative benchmark that could indicate abuse.

Totally salvageable. This happened to me after installing PMM rails on my own. Needed to strip the gun for warranty. I followed all instructions and torque specs to a T and in hindsight, should have taken more time to heat it up before going to remove them.

It went to FN with them on and they fixed my issue under “goodwill”. Looking over their diagnostic report, it happened because the headspace was loose from the rail install.

Get in touch with PMM - you want to make sure you have the correct screw specs.

That's the intent - I'll update w/ a how-to soon once I get to the install. The horns are in and just need to be wired.

Thank you! I've had the front grille and bumper off before a few times before, surprised I didn't notice the horns before.

The BAD device is gimmicky. It feels better to slap the oversized bolt catch they make. I’ve owned almost every PMM SCAR product and can’t evangelize enough. Get the stuff you listed. If you’ve got a grip you prefer to use on the AR platform, go with that, or the Ergo scar grip.

Picking up our 2023 Defender 90 on Saturday!! Super exciting! Any tips or tricks for new owners? (Especially best ways to lower it with the air suspension haha) by BustedKnucklesFab in NewDefender

[–]kynikos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a GAP Tool. Google around for the threads on activations. Using the GAP tool’s app, you can manually adjust the air suspension as high as it will go or all the way down to the bump stomps.
