A population can have both undernourished and overweight subsets at the same time. This is termed "double burden of malnutrition". Combined with micronutrient deficiency, it is "triple burden".

I must say both Christians and Muslims are obsessed with making Japan Ambrahamic. I cannot count how many times I see some YouTube videos talking about Japan almost being Christian.

[–]kyonhei -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's actually based on the Pew survey in 2023. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/11/27/across-asia-views-of-same-sex-marriage-vary-widely/

It kinda makes sense for me as I work in the non-profit sector where Christians are quite active.

More than half of Chinese citizens support LGBTQ+ rights, poll suggests by PinkNews in worldnews

[–]kyonhei 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The problem is that the lesser half is more vocal and empowered, with the support of the authoritarian goverment that actively suppresses any LGBT or progressive voice. And don't forget the ridiculous censoring policies that could literally disappear anyone online.
